Nti-freeze is leaking

Anti-freeze is leaking only when my Trailblazer is turned off. What causes this problem. I initially thought it was my thermostat but my heat and air work just fine. I need help.

A cold water leak is usually a hose that as the sealing surface it is attacked to shrinks will leak..check all the hose connections for leaks, try tightening a bit, if it still leaks, remove and clean sealing surface, retry. good Luck

They don't sell parts for any water pump to the little guy, so u must replace the entire pump, but have a shop run a pressure test 1st to confirm the source of the leak, you can also feel the bottom of the pump and see if it is wet with coolant, there is what is a weep hole.

Flush clogged heater core

The coolant is green because there is anti freeze and rust inhibitor that colours the water. If there was a blockage the engine would overheat. I suspect the thermostat has jammed open.

My 1997 subaru impreza squeals badly and then engine smokes

Hi this sounds weird does the smoke come out from the front engine covers? the squealing could be the cambelt trying to turn a semi or completly ceased waterpump which would cause the smoke after a while, also without the waterpump working properly the engine will leak water and anti freeze out the overflow and overheat really quickly

Heater leaking anti freeze inside car and making steam with heater off

Heater core is leaking, Turning heat off does not stop water flow through heater core, it only diverts air away from it.

My thought is that you probably have a blown head gasket or a cracked block. I would have someone do a pressure test on the coolant system to determine where the leak is. Doesn't sound good.

My truck is over heating what is causing for geting over heating?

their could be several problems that cause over heating, now the most likely cause is that the thermostat has packed up and needs replacing that would be the first thing to get replaced.

how ever other causes could be:
coolant leak, this lets air in the coolant system and this causes it to over heat so have a good look for any leaks in the hoses, rad, water pump.
if the rad fan does not cut in when the temp gauge goes right up past 90 then this could be the cause of your problem you may need the fan switch replacing.
another problem could be with the water pump if this is leaking or the bearing gone then this can cause over heating

now worse case the problem could be head gasket failure but first rule out all the above as this is worse case scenario, most likely the thermostat needs replacing

2004 Trailblazer sputters and often stalls if fan, defrost, heat or air are turned on. Service engine light is on and coding for enine running too cool. Are these issues related and/or what could be...

First the throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean.
Engine running too cool means that either the thermostat is stuck open or the coolant temperature sensor is defective. Both should be replaced since they are in same area.

Runs hot and hearter not blowing hot air

a heater uses the temperature of the cars water, running threw a heat exchanger if the heater core has failed water will not circulate threw the engine properly this will and can cause over heating as well as nothing blowing from the heater. good luck.heater cores are generally inexpensive parts to replace.

last thing you can check if heater core is ok. is the thermostat.

Secondary Air Injection System Malfunction

P0410 secondary air injection system malfunction. I've dealt with this problem myself. It's either the air pump which is located under the driver's side door on the frame, or it's the valve on the engine that is sticking.
The air pumps are notorious for "freezing up" in cold climates due to water sitting in the pump and freezing and then breaking the impeller from the shaft in the pump. This is what happened with mine.
Remove your pump and test it. If it spins and blows air, then it's fine. Then check your valve on the engine. If that opens (which they like to get corroded with exhaust gasses and stick) Then that will be ok. If not, you'll have a pretty good idea what is going on.
I wnt ahead and replaced both the pump and valve, which were both crappy.
GM also has a check valve that you can install to prevent water from entering the pump. I just drilled a small hole in the bottom of mine to "drain" the water.
