Question about 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan

1 Answer

The clock and the radio went out in my 2003 Dodge Caravan. Also the lighter I use for a charger is out. Do I simply need a new fuse? I think the charger may have broke off a piece into the lighter that may be still there. Every other thing works great!

Thanks! I'm pretty sure that's exactly what happened. I don't have the manual; but I've learned where the fuses are from this site.

It is possible that the remaining piece of your charger has shorted it out and blown the fuse. If you look through your owners manual it will tell you the location of the fuse panel and which fuse is for the cig lighter and radio........sorry im not familiar with these locations on your vehicle or i would tell you exactly where it is
hope this helps!

2005 Dodge Caravan radio and clock is dead

check the cigerette lighter or power socket fuse. then check them all because some fuses feed other fuse and are not labeled as such. there under the hood and there is one that may have a plastic cage around it its the one that the dealer personel are supposed to push down when taking delivery of vehichle it turns all that stuff of so battery wont go dead in the stock yards, it may have popped from the cig lighter or power port

blower resistor went bad causing only high speeds, "resistor" makes it slow down, maybe not all the same problem though. check fuses

Radio, clock and lighter have all lost power

Look straight up under dash, access panel on front of dash, in glove box or could be under the hood in a box.

Radio and lighter wont work

Your fuse sounds like it has burned out. the radio and lighter are most likely on the same fuse.

does the lighter still work?
if so check the fuse in the back of the radio or perhaps there is one in the wiring coming from the back of the radio.
