Did you say you chg. water pump?or just the upper and lower hoses and thermostat? If there is water comming out the weap hole under neck of water pump it needs replaced. The water comming out pipes is just condensation.

How do I adjust the door on my 2003 Monte Carlo SS? It's hanging a little too low and is not closing right.

There is no adjustments on the 2003 Monte Carlo. The bushings in the hinges are worn and the whole hinge will need to be replaced.

Best is to replace the upper and lower hinge. It takes just under an hour with a helping hands to remove the both hinges, but replace them one at a time.

Thank you for using Fixya and be safe.

Where is the thermostat located in a 1999 chevy monte carlo 3.1 and is there a diagram I can see to see if I can fix the car my self. Thanks Shirley

the thermostant is behind the exhaust crossover pipe, this is the pipe that connects the front exhaust manifold to the rear, the housing is behind that, its a tight fit, also if you follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to engine the housing that the hose goes to is where the thermostant goes, heres a diagram, hope this helps,

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo SS with the 3.8 non super charged engine in it. The cars operating temp is just under half on the guage and the blower motor works good but very little heat coming out at best it...

either the heater rad is blocked where someone has put a leak sealer in or the flaps are not operating properly,if the pipes appear hot ?? then i would be inclined to disconnect the pipes and try flushing the rad with a hose and reverse the direction of the water flow 2/3 times ,dont forget to refill with antifreeze

Antifreeze seems to be leaking from my heater

You need to pressure test the system, and observe for leaks at that time, if a hose or valve CAREFULLY CUT hoses form the heater core, it will be fragile and any flexing typically breakes the core..

Better make sure the fan works. There is a switch on the radiator that turns the fan on when it gets to a certain temperature. It could be the fan or the switch. Your thermostat is not your cap, it's in a different location. (Usually at the engine end of the upper radiator hose) Get the leak check! A good garage can pressure test the system to see what leaks you might have.

2006 Monte Carlo with 3500 v6 /flex fuel engine

should be on the upper radiator hose where it mounts onto the motor, if you remove the hose from the engine side you may be able to see the thermostat inside the housing, should be 2 bolts that hold housing in place
