Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer

Starting Problems AGAIN

I have been having troubles with my 99 Chevy Blazer for about the past 3 months. I just recently had it worked on by a chevy dealer. the security system fried the wires to transmission and fuse box. Now that I have it back a month later it wont start again. IT doesnt make the sound that the starter is even workin at all...It starts when it wants to. The only thing I can hear when I try to turn it over is the fuel pump turning on.

no when it went to garage they removed the security system or disconnected it or something. Put in a new starter and still no different.

i called the garage that removed the security system said pretty much that i would have to pay them all over again just for them to look at it, and tell me if there is something else wrong or something that they didnt fully fix.

Personally, I would return it to the dealer and state that is still not fixed.
When the remote start / security system was removed or disconnected, the starter circuit would have had to be rewired as the remote start / security system prevents the starter from engaging.
The wire splicing that would have had to take place may still be a problem.
If you would rather diagnose this problem your self I will be happy to help.
Let me know.
Regards,.

Sorry to here that, it's a shame the shop doesn't stand behind their work.

If you are able to use a test light and can work with a wiring diagram we can start working to solve the problem

    Let me know.

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

I have a 99 Chevy Blazer, I have had it for about six months or so. The past month and a half, it pops out of 2 wheel drive and into 4 wheel drive (sometimes blinking back and forth between 4 hi and 4 lo)....

I have the same trouble. It seems a relay is keeping it in 4wheel drive. I havne't solved the trouble yet. It may be a loose or corroded wire in the connector to the TCCM located in the passenger kick panel. Dealer part about $450 or more. For the moment I took out the fuse for the 4 wheel drive. It is located in the lower right hand side in the fuse the box under the hood. It disengages the 4wheel drive and I replace the fuse if I need the 4wheel drive.

Trouble code for transmission

This code stand for transmission fluid pressure switch manual valve position switch assembly malfunction. Kind of a long winded term for the switch that tells the computer what gear you want to be in. Often when I see this it means that the switch [not the transmission] is going bad. This switch is mounted on the valve body inside the transmission. Fairly easy to test but you do need to have some transmission experiance to do so. Good luck and hope this helps a bit.
