Question about 2005 Ford F-150

Light for odometer/compass/outside temp doesn't work

The light doesn't illuminate for the odometer on my f150 supercab. The aux 12v-ac receptacle also does not work. Is this a fuse? If so, which one? I have a 2005 F150. The odometer/compass/temp. function works but does not illuminate. Does anyone know how to repair this? Thanks!

Mine went out just after the warranty expired.... the light is only good for this amout of time... 3 years.
It cost me a whopping $10.00 for this little light, and I have to put it in myself. I hope I don't have to be Houdini to put this in, for you can't even see daylight under that dash. This could **** my whole arm in and not even reach the light housing.

SOURCE: light for odometer/compass/outside temp doesn't work

it could very well be a fuse or the relay the fuse box is usually located under the dash on the driver side and the relay box is usually under the hood on the drivers side or near the front each will have a cover that will tell you what goes to what and if you have an owners manual check in there also under fuses and relays and it can also tell you which is for what

Outside temp light and compass dont work. what can i do to fix it?

Do the map lights in the overhead console / Illuminated vanity lights work?

This is the same fuse, Cab fuse panel fuse #23 ( hot in run position ).

If the map lights & vanity mirrors on the visors work correctly, it is the solid state module in the overhead console that is the problem ( have seen this, more common on SuperDuty line ).\

The overhead outdoor temperature Gage reads 25-75 degrees below actual temperature I have tried resting the compass and disconnected the battery for fiver minutes. Where is the outside temperature sensor...

The outdoor temp sensor is just inside the grill when you opent the hood. The part cost around $76 and kind of looks like a electrical plug receptacle. There are little clips holding the old one in that need to be held apart to dislodge it, slip the new one in, and you're done. Took about 5 minutes.

Good luck!
