SOURCE: I have a 2002 Nissan

you replaced the switch or the resistor. They are two different parts. The resistor should be located near the blower motor. Since high speed bypasses the resistor I would say the resistor is the problem.

Also you didn't mention if you had auto heat, auto heat with navigation, or manual heat. It can make a difference in how to approach your problem. The info I provided above would be for manual heat since it is more common.

For more info on blower motor diagnoses you can click here. Your would be a ground side controlled system since the switch supplies the path to ground.

SOURCE: I turn the switch on

could be the blower motor it self. usually when resistor failes the blower will only work on HIGH or number 4 on your dash. when resistor burns out, all speeds other than 4 tend to stop working and blower works on high because its getting 12V/batter voltage applied to it, when on lets say speed number 3 the blower gets less voltage thus resulting is slower operation. put 12V/battery voltage to the blower motor directlly and see if it comes on. it should crank pretty fast so hold it tight when you are ready to put battery voltage to it.

2008 Nissan titan AC relay compressor won't power up help

A low freon level will cause the compressor to not operate by not grounding the relay. Some Nissans also use the heater motor resistor to make the relay operate. If your heater speeds do not function on all settings the resistor could be the problem

My 2001 Nissan pathfinder heater will not turn off. A/c worked fine and did come on one time when tryed but the heats up now at any setting and is extremely hot.

There are three culprits that may cause this.

1:Many people have great luck with replacing the resistor unit for the blower motor. While I cannot guarantee this is the issue you have, it is the most common. (Approx $45. )
eBay link.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heater-Blower-Motor-Resistor-For-Nissan-Pathfinder-Xterra-Titan-Pickup-Truck-/131110853460?hash=item1e86d0db54&vxp=mtr

2: Others have luck when replacing the actual Plastic switch inside. This runs about $50

3: Then there is the blower motor amplifier.. (approx $110)

Your service manual will show location of these items or a quick search online for schematic for your model will produce results to assist you from here.

Hope this helps.

My 2006 blower fan switch only has a high. As soon as I turn it on it goes to high. Would this also be the relay?

this sounds like a bad blower motor resistor board that has gone bad. they are designed to work only on high if they go bad so you will still have the blower to defrost the windows.

Control knob for heater/ac works on high only.

This problem is caused by the blower speed control resistor being defective for the blower motor. The resistor is located near the blower motor under the dash.

AC is stuck on high on my nissan titan 2006. I have heard it may be the resistor or the control panel

The blower resister is near the blower motor, mounted on the outside of the blower box,but actually goes inside the blower box. It~s function actually is to give the blower motor lower speeds. If it is only working on high, then this is the problem. If it works on high when you select a lower speed, then there is a high blower motor relay that is stuck in the closed position .Replace the relay.

Blower for nissan titan

The picture I will try to attach will show you the blower motor housing. The white electrical harness rt hand upper corner is attached to the blower motor resistor. If you have checked the relay and its working ( you can check with a tester) the resistor is probably the problem. It's the most common a/c blower issue I see weekly hope I can send it and hope it helps.
