2002 Hyundai Elantra how do I reset the alarm system

If your alarm is factory-installed, first, you will need to insert the key in the ignition in the "ON" position. Leave it there and wait until the alarm stop sounding. It may take between thirty seconds and one-and-a-half minute.

Second. Once the alarm stop, turn the key to the left like if you were going to take it out, but don't remove the key.

Third. Wait Exactly 10 seconds and turn the car on.

This will disable the alarm until it is engaged again using the remote.

1998 dodge durango. used to have an alarm, I dont have a remote. Alarm should be disabled. truck is acting like its alarm is going off. Ignition is locked. wont turn over

close all the doors and lock them. Try unlocking the passenferside door. See if that esets the alarm. If not let one of the windows down lock the doors and with the key left on disconnect the battery than reconnect it. Reach in the car throw the window and get in, Turn the key off than try starting it. Hope this helps. Leave comment.

While parked, I heard a chirping sound coming from the car. The remote key system would not work. After manually unlocking the car, with key in ignition, car would not start. There is no power to start...

It sounds like there is a short in your alarm system which is draining the battery while the car is sitting. Try jump starting the car, then pull the fuse which goes to the alarm system. If the vehicle takes a jump and starts, and you can't locate the fuse right away, disconnect the positive battery terminal when you let your car sit. When the car is running the alternator will keep the battery charged.

My 2006 Chrysler Pacifica's doors keep locking and unlocking. This can happen while I am driving or when the key is out of the ignition and the car is parked in the garage.

Change the battery in your remote.Other wise you may have a faulty alarm unit. And you will need to take it to the dealership.

Two days ago my 2004 toyota corolla s starting honking a little bit when I turn the key as well as the doors are automatically locking and unlocking when I turn the key on and off...

Check your remote to see that it isn't setting off the alarm. If the battery is dying on the remote, this could happen. If not, have alarm checked.

Program remote control for mazda mpv 2002

Try this, it works on several 2002 models:

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.

Step 2: Lock and unlock the drivers door using the power door lock switch on the door.

Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.

Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.

Step 5: Open and close the drivers door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).

Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.

Step 7: Press any button on remote #1. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.

Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.

Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done

How to turn off the alarm manually without any use of a remote control

If the alarm is a "factory" alarm, cycle the key in the ignition from off to on (where the dash indicators light up), 5 times. This is the reset proceedure for the "factory" alarm.
