If the oil pump fails and the engine continues to run then there will be catastrophic engine damage and then the engine will seize.(this would be accompanied by loud knocking noises and possibly smoke and in some cases fire in the engine compartment) If this has happened to your engine then yes it can cause the engine not to turn over. but if you parked the vehicle and every thing was fine. then you came to start it later and it wouldn't start then no the oil pump will have nothing to do with this no start issue.
Hope this Helps!

While my ford ranger idles in neutral the check oil gauage comes on then when I start moving it goes away

possibilities are:

low oil level and or really clogged filter having effect at low rpm
extremely dirty or corrupted/diluted oil.
idling too slow (less likely, but may be a factor if above is true)
oil pump may be on its way out

Ford ranger oil pump squeak

Since the oil pump is inside the oil pan, I am curious as to how you know it is squealing.
Do you mean the power steering pump ?

How do i disconeect the motor mounts i need to disconnect motor mounts so i can raise the motor and remove th oil pan

The motor mounts have a hinge bolt that goes through the upper engine hard bracket and the engine mount rubber section, it goes from from to rear in line with the engine, remove the nuts and take the load off the mount with a floor jack under the pan (use a block softwood to avoid denting the pan), once the nut and load is off slide the long bolt out and raise the engine.

I have a 97 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 with 122,00

Check your oil pressure gauge sender first. It might be the pump but often they wear down gradually. It might also be the pressure relief valve spring. Most likely it is the oil pick-up pipe in the sump. Take the pan off and inspect for crud blocking it. If clear it will be very easy to check the pump. The pump vanes are driven directly so any free rotation would indicate a (rare) pump failure.

I need to raise my engine on a ford ranger to replace the oil pump. I can't get the engine high enough. 1989, 2300cc, standard, no air

You'll need to unbolt the motor from the transmission to raise the engine enough to get the oil pump out.

How to change the oil pump of a ford ranger 1993

You didn't post your engine size so please pick the one that works for you....I'll post them all separately:

2.3L Engine The oil pumps are not serviceable. If defective, they must be replaced.
  1. Follow the service procedures under Oil Pan Removal and remove the oil pan assembly.
  2. Remove the oil pick-up and tube assembly from the pump.
  3. Remove the oil pump retainer bolts and remove the oil pump.
To install:
  1. Prime the oil pump with clean engine oil by filling either the inlet or outlet port with clean engine oil. Rotate the pump shaft to distribute the oil within the pump body.
  2. Install the pump and tighten the mounting bolts to 14-21 ft. lbs. (19-29 Nm)

WARNING Do not force the oil pump if it does not seat readily. The oil pump driveshaft may be misaligned with the distributor or shaft assembly. If the pump is tightened down with the driveshaft misaligned, damage to the pump could occur. To align, rotate the intermediate driveshaft into a new position.

  1. Install the oil pick-up and tube assembly to the pump. If there is a gasket between the pump and the pick-up, use a new gasket when installing.
  2. Install the oil pan as previously described.

could be one of two things oil pump could be going bad or the main bearings are going bad no way of telling with out dropping pan and checking for lots of metal particles in the bottom of the pan if there is the main bearings are going bad.
