I have a 2003 land rover discovery, I went to start it one morning and it didnt start, it sounds like it ran out of gas, so I replace the pump and the relay switch and it started for acouple of mins and cut off and now it wont start. someone please help me
Hard wires the pump and see if the car runs ok, if so there is a problem in the power wire, possibly a dud computer or wire along the way. if this is the case an auto elec would be the best thing for it...

you do have to reprime te system which can take several minutes of trying to start. be careful not to burn up your starter. Never crank more than 10 seconds at a time, let starter cool after 2 minutes.
when you ran out you could have sucked all the debris in to your fuel pump and damaged it. have someone turn on the key while you listen under your gas tank for a humming sound. It will only last 1 or 2 seconds. that is the pump, if you hear nothing then your pump is bad and will need replaced. Also, check your filter what may have passed through te pump will not get passed the filter and it could now be clogged up. To locate the filter, follow the line from the tank to the engine and it will be in line before you get to the engine.
