Question about 2002 Hyundai Accent

Hyundai Accent 2001 fuel pump wire colour coding (AUST).

What is the wire colour at the fuel pump for the above car. I want to test the fuel pump as the car won't start and I suspect it is a fuel/electrical issue. Any advise/sugestions greatly appreciated. Dale.

    Hi guys,

Thank you for your sugeestions I tried the eather and the engine fired (a good sign). I tried banging the tank with no success. Then I removed the fuel line before the external filter and turned on the ignition, as I suspected no fuel flow. So I am concluding from this that the fuel pump is the issue. Now I just need to replace the pump and filter.

    Thank you guys.

    Regards Dale.

Hello all. I have a 02 accent 1.5 standard car with no power to the fule pump. The underhood fuseblock has no ignition power at the pump relay. The other 99% of the system seems good, what are the odds of my ignition switch being the problem? Maybe there is a second relay for the fpump system under the dash i dont get it.

If you need to get your car started to take it to a shop. This is a Very old Trick Most cases this works. If you take a Block of wood or a rubber malet.Just Bang on the the Tank bottom. This will Vibrate the Fuel pump from it bad spot on its motor and start working again.Great Trick.........

I install a new fuel pump in a 2001 hyundai accent and now it wont start, whats wrong.

Was it running before you worked on it? If so, double check your work.
Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good. Did you check good voltage and ground for fuel pump motor at the wiring connector?
If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure, I don't care if the pump is new, check fuel pressure, anyway. Also, check fuel injector pulse. Only crank the starter motor a few seconds at a time, let it cool off.
Are there any applicable trouble codes? How long since over-all tune-up?

My 2001 Hyundai Accent 1.5 L, stalls out at stop signs and red lights. No codes are present, and check engine light does not come on, any ideas? Fuel pump?

See if your idle air control valve needs to be cleaned out. This is a common problem in cars that stall out a lot.

2001 Accent, suddenly won't start

your model doesn't use an Inertia cut off switch for the fuel pump, chances are the fuel pump has just failed, they do that quite often.

2001 hyundai, accent, fuel pump shuts off when putting in gas

fuel pump DOES NOT SHUT OFF.... you have a purge control solenoid valve that's sticking 'OPEN' an sucking raw fuel into the intake manifold... REPLACE THE PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE.

Not Running 2001 accent

Should be 12v there and a good ground test with a meter. Also check the relay to make sure its operating correctly.
