I need a starter

Almost certainly if it comes from another '93. Probably, if it comes from a vehicle within a couple of years either way. Most auto parts stores can tell you which starters are either compatible or the same from year to year.

My 94 Saturn sl will turn over but won't crank we

The O2 sensor would have no effect on the engine starting.
And if it cranks it turns over, just may not start.
Have you checked for spark at the plugs, and fuel pressure at the injectors ?
Do you have normal compression when the engine is cranked ?

Stater got wet, clicks. need to locate it. Will tapping it w/ hammer to get it past possible dead spot help?

like all 91-99 saturn starters, it is on the back of the motor under the intake system bolted into the bell housing. so far as i know, hitting a starter is never going to turn the starter motor. it may however unstick a bendix.

put some thought into paying a shop to replace the starter, you can buy a rebuilt one yourself and have them do it. it becomes very inconvenient in winter to have to get out and beat your starter and eventually it will not start, irrespective of beatings and that will be at night, in the rain, far from home.

IS THE 94 SATURN SL1 A GOOD RELIABLE CAR

when it was new it was a good reliable car, however it is now nearly 20 years old and over 90% of its model year siblings have long ago met the junkyard. at age 10 things start needing replacement on all cars, so if the thing was owned by a person who did all that maintenance, then maybe it has a few more years of use left in it, if not then avoid it. if it has an automatic transmission, stay away unless you are sure it has been rebuilt at least once.

I have a 94 SL 5 spd with manual steering. What hardware do I need to convert to power steering?

The car itself is worth 500 dollars if it runs, you are going to spend twice that much converting it. So spend a thousand dollars and buy a 99 saturn with power steering and then sell yours for five hundred. That way you are only out 500 and all of your parts are 5 years newer.

I need a radio manual so I can program my 94 satturn sl model car. I bought it used and no way to program the radio, no instructions.

You will need to go to the Saturn Dealer to obtain the code, the Radio Code Is VIN# specific. Check your Owner's Manual, sometimes it is printed inside of there, or the previous owner may have written it down.

Where is the location of the heater blower motor on a 1994 saturn sl1? Do I have to tear the dash out?

No need to tear the dash out. The blower is located above the passenger's feet, below the glove compartment. You access it from underneath. Three small black bolts hold it on and there is a two wire electrical connector on the bottom that must be removed. The motor drops down with the fan blade attached. Should take about 5 or 10 minutes to remove.

I have a '93 SL2 and the interior is the same as an SL1 or 2 from '92, '93, '94 and maybe even a '95.

98 Saturn SL AC/cooling fan will NOT work

Do not let this car over heat a blown head gasket will ensue. Locate and replace the fan relay, if that doesn't fix the problem unplug fan and use jumper wires to ground the plug then feed power to the positive side of plug to check fan, if that doesn't work replace the coolant temperature sensor located somewhere near the intake manifold or thermostat housing area.

1996 Saturn SL, 4 cylinder, auto trans.. Car starts and runs fine. However if you turn off the ignition when the car is hot, the car will not start again until the engine cools down. When you turn the key...

I also had the same problem with my 1996 Saturn SL1, and it also was the starter. I thought it was an electrical problem until, just on a whim I pulled the starter. One of the brushes was almost gone and the commutator looked like hell. I cleaned up the commutator and brushes, and it spun like a top for about a month, until the worn out brush finally died. I also ordered a new starter the same day of the cleaning. Just a word of advice if you will be buying a new starter, go on Ebay Motors and find the store dbelectrical. They sell brand new starters for $49.95 with no core charge plus $12 UPS shipping. So $61.95 vs $150+ at your local parts store....Myself and my friend from work have both bought and daily use starters from them with no problems or complaints to report.
