Question about 1997 Nissan Pathfinder
Trying to figure out why the Sunroof/Moonroof does not work. Checked for fuses in motor and under the dash but could not seem to locate one. So I took off the cover by the sunroof and the fuse I found was still good. So was wondering if it could be the motor, or if there is another fuse somewhere?
circuit tester to the switch when pressed should show a charge if no charge than bad contacts in switch ... if charge than the problem lyes in the motor by the sunroof. can make a tester from an old turn signal bulb a socket just ground 1 wire off the socket and use the other wire as test probe. if you find this info helpful please rate

This is a re-post from what I told someone else:
I took mine in expecting to have it repaired and it turns out that it was just the screws along the left and right-hand side of the panel. They were loose. The guy told me that "it eventually happens" and that "it's only a matter of time". He went on to say that "it shouldn't happen again". So, check the screws on either side of the panel right where it's stopping. I suspect that this is prohibiting yours from closing as well.

I have a 2003 4runner limited and the moonroof is jammed open.
I took it to the Toyota Dealer and they said they didn't know how to get it closed and charged me $44 just for driving it into the shop. Help it is suppose to rain tomorrow.
