1987. Why is there no power at the turn signal cam?

Do you have brake and parkng lights? The turnsignal switch on the column is just designed to relay a path to the flasher and then it is designed to interupt the brake and some of the parking lights lights, which cause the flashing on and off. Double check fuses double check bulb socks and bulbs for good contacts. Does the 4 ways work? If the lights all flash then locate the turn signal flasher and switch with emergency flasher if possible to rule out relay. If those are all good and the emergency flasher lights work and bulbs, then you would have a problem with the turn signal switch. Hope this all helps

Signal And Brake lights

The flasher unit is located under the dash, near the steering column. This could also be caused by a faulty ground wire. Check the wiring for broken, bare, or loose wires or connections.

I have a 2003 S10. My rear turn signals work, emergency flashers work, and my 3rd brake light works, but my tail light brake lights don't work. What do I do?

Check for power and ground to the lamps. Most likely you have lost ground, since you replaced everything else.

My brakelights only work part of the time, the middle one works all the time can i run off the middle to bypass where the probmel is in the rest of the wiring

that wouldnt be an good idea youll just cause more problems latter. use test light to check back of the lights and make sure you have power gettin to your lights if not it sould connect to main harness also find wirs comming from the 3rd brake light in back window and just trace them. also check your brake light switch and sometimes it can be the emergency flasher switch is broken cause they also run on your bakes so check and see if you have turn signals n emergency flashers.hopes this helps you and merry christmas

No brake lights 3rd brake light works just put all new bulbs in.checked all fuses even under the hood, does this vehicle have a flasher fuses because those dont work either. both turn signal and rear lamps...

car should have an emergency flasher. If it isn't working, it could affect the brake lights. might be the same unit as the turn flasher but different relay inside. Is your fuse panel behind the glovebox? manual says flasher is in the fusebox. It's worth a try replacing this flasher unit. Looks like this:

Rear brake lights stopped working

Check your fuses of course, you probably did.Listen your not going to believe this, the wire at the brake light switch can be bad.sometines the wire can break inside the vinyl cover just a milameter.use a test light for presence of voltage at the switch and check a few inches back to see it voltage is present. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE VOLTAGE AT THE SWITCH!

Turning signals dont blink

Problem is the Turn Signal "FLASHER" unit, 1.Turn on Emergency FLASHERS 2. Go under Dash while they are on Listen -for Clicking sound then feel for it 3. Should Be a Silver Round Unit About as Big IN ROUND as Half dollar coin 4. ok now Look Around for the SAME EXACT Thing Clipped onto Something Under dash At Driver side Usually Between Steering wheel and Center HUMP in Floor, 5. once you find it Take OUT the first One you Found Emergency FLASHER) and 6. Put it In Place of Turn Signal Flasher, 7. Turn off Emergency Flashers- Turn Key in "ON" Position but don't start then Try Turn Signals. Yaaaa !!!! they work ?? LoL hopefully this Does the trick, if they work Buy new one and Replace Always Use NEW For TURN Signals as they are used Much More than Emergency Flashers. Hope this is Good Instructions For you and Helps you Solve The Problem, Please DONT Forget to RATE ME Thank you Rejakwilson@aol.com

Brake lights only show on center 3rd high stop tail lamp

Yes, the flasher does interrupt the brake signal. you do know that this is a push on, push off switch. Some try to pull this switch to turn off flashers, but, it has to be pushed again to turn off.

1991 Ford E150 turn signals do not work, emergancy flashers flash constantlly unless the flasher relay is unplugged from fuse block

Hi,

If I understand you right based on your post/description, the signal lights would still turn on even if any or both of the flasher relays are removed. Should this be the case, then the signal lights are not getting the power from the flasher relays but from the brake light circuit.

Perhaps your concern is not with any of the flasher, but simply missing or loose ground more particularly with the rear lights. Perhaps you could try determining which of the wires for the brake lights and signal lights (as they come out of the light assembly) would be ground . A test and even possibly a temporary workaround is to hard wire a second ground connection from the determined ground wire of the lights and attach it to any conveniently located bolt or screw to the body. it may be to your advantage to do this on all the rear lights assembly.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
