Its against the regulations to remove and is a criminal offence,to use a vehicle fitted with this or anything else thats come from the factory means the vehicle is not complying with the homogolonation certificate. But you should gain 10% minium more power.or recycle this gas guzzling monstrosity and turn it into 3 smaller cars and let the kids breathe fresh air

Engine shaking

Since it's a '95 that takes the vortec engine out of the equation. The '95 has a TBI (throttle body injection) system, which is basically an electronically controlled carburetor. When was the last time you had a tune up? If it's over 100,000 miles, I'd start there. It might smooth out things. Other things to look for are vacuum leaks. good luck.

Chevy 454 back fire

Ignition timing is set by the computer as long as the distributor pickup point is within reason.

It could be running too lean. One of the TBI injectors may be sticking or not working (wiring or computer problem), or fuel pressure could be low.

As long as the area you live in doesn't require emission testing, you don' need to fix it. It won't hurt anything. But you will have to stare at the light or put tape over it.
