Can i use the reset button to solve this kind of problem? If yes pls pals, how can i go about it.
Ur abs is linked to the bearings the bearings have a magnetic strip only on one side of the bearings areoressed in "backwards" it cause ABS the V4~LOCK light VSA light and the [!] Light to all come on. I know Cuz this just happened to me. This is dangerous because you computer and your wheels are not communicating with each other is why ur smelling something hot my suspicion would be ur abs good luck
Abs light is problem with sensor which is in hub bearing, new hub.engine light you need a scaner to read code and reset.
SOURCE: Burning smell like clutch or brake coming from
You need to get out when you smell this and determine if its brakes or clutch disk. Go to each wheel and the try smelling under the hood..If its brakes they tend to stop very slowly when overheated and the clutch will slip when overheated so you should have some sort of sign when that smell is there.. With all those lights on sounds like you have other issues to address. SRS is air bag, ABS is anti lock brakes and check engine light is some sort of sensor input/out not functioning. You need to hit your local auto parts store and have them run the codes. You have quite a few issues to address. Most brake/muffler places do a free inspection so may not cost you anything to do get it checked out. Make sure you ask if the inspection is free, if not check another shop. Somoeon is doing it for free I guarantee..
SOURCE: THE LIGHTS FOR abs ENGINE
You need to take your car to Autozone. They will scan your computer for the problem. The check engine light is on because your car computer detected a problem. Autozone does not charge for this service. They will tell you what you need and tell you what the problem is. The hand break is referring to your emergency break. Make sure it is all the way down. Autozone will then clear these lights off of your car. If you need anything else, please let me know. I am here to help in anyway possible. Thank you for choosing FixYa.
