Ur abs is linked to the bearings the bearings have a magnetic strip only on one side of the bearings areoressed in "backwards" it cause ABS the V4~LOCK light VSA light and the [!] Light to all come on. I know Cuz this just happened to me. This is dangerous because you computer and your wheels are not communicating with each other is why ur smelling something hot my suspicion would be ur abs good luck

SOURCE: Burning smell like clutch or brake coming from

You need to get out when you smell this and determine if its brakes or clutch disk. Go to each wheel and the try smelling under the hood..If its brakes they tend to stop very slowly when overheated and the clutch will slip when overheated so you should have some sort of sign when that smell is there.. With all those lights on sounds like you have other issues to address. SRS is air bag, ABS is anti lock brakes and check engine light is some sort of sensor input/out not functioning. You need to hit your local auto parts store and have them run the codes. You have quite a few issues to address. Most brake/muffler places do a free inspection so may not cost you anything to do get it checked out. Make sure you ask if the inspection is free, if not check another shop. Somoeon is doing it for free I guarantee..

SOURCE: THE LIGHTS FOR abs ENGINE

You need to take your car to Autozone. They will scan your computer for the problem. The check engine light is on because your car computer detected a problem. Autozone does not charge for this service. They will tell you what you need and tell you what the problem is. The hand break is referring to your emergency break. Make sure it is all the way down. Autozone will then clear these lights off of your car. If you need anything else, please let me know. I am here to help in anyway possible. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

I have a 96 LeSabre and it needs brake lines. Can i do away with the ABS, and use non ABS lines ?

Yes, you could probably do that. Although your MIL light (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) or your check engine light, will be constantly on if you eliminate the ABS system. Kind of a quandary, but a working abs system is a positive safety feature.

My question is on my acura mdx 2003. The left front wheel was worked on and somehow the mechanic damaged the sensor there. I guess the abs sensor. This made the ABS, VSA,VTM-4 and a triangle light came on....

When you clear the codes and the problem has not been fix after 10 miles of driving the warnings return. I am sorry but I am not sure what is causing the indicator lights. Have you looked up all the remaining codes?

What goes wrong with abs brake module in 99 dodge ram 2500 diesel truck

It isn't often we get enough information to make a diagnosis, but I think we can in this case.
You have a break light switch under the dashboard that is plastic, and has a "plunger" button.
When you press the brake pedal, that allows the plunger button to extend, which closes contacts inside the switch, and makes the brake lights come on.
If and when that switch either breaks or gets loose, the plunger will stay extended, and the brake lights will stay on, discharging the battery.
God bless your efforts to see & fix this.

2001 VW Jetta GLX 2.8L ABS indicator lights on and engine occasionally bucking/stalling

Justin you might have to run a computer diagnosis on your car.
I feel there are a couple of short circuits on your wire ring especially on the ABS system. one of your brake ware, abs sensors is constantly in contact with your cars peripherals thus causing an electric feed back which interpreted as brake failure by the cars computer system. How ever this malfunction now acts directly on the cars Main relays, which cause your car to loose connection to the rest of the ignition system, If problem is un attended this could fuse the computer box.
Find someone to revise your cars wires.

Check engine code 1308 brake circut A not in Correlation with brake circut B?

If it was my car I'd be looking at the ABS system for faults. The lights are on because a sensor somewhere is reading a problem. The problem could easily be the sensor. I'd be looking to make sure the grooved or notched rings on the brake itself is clean. dirt in the grooves can make the sensor read wrong. The ABS sensors themselves may be bad or the wire connections could be bad. They could be aimed wrong so they don't read the wheel. Maybr there is a wire harness unplugged under the hood. These are the kinds of things I'd be looking at. Hope this helps.
