Is there a locko the front wheel. Was trying to change tire, got the nuts off, but the wheel would not move forward.

Try hitting the inside of the tire with a hammer. the bigger the better. What happens is the wheel will rust if steel or corrode if aluminum an bind up on the lip of the hub. Thats the part that sticks through the very center of wheel. If you can safely do it you can also try to kick the inside of the tire with your foot. I wouldn't try it unless the vehicle was supported by at least a jack stand an jack.

If all else fail you can put the lug nuts on loosely, lower the car, and drive it back and forth slowly until the wheel "falls" off. Then you can jack it up and finish changing the tire.

Took off lug nuts but tire won't come off

common issue. take out your spare tire and use it to hit the inside of the wheel. this will knock it loose and save you excessive effort. once you are done you get anti sieze and apply it to the centre of the hub and install the wheel. torque is about 90 ft lbs..

How do you change a tire on a honda crv? I need to get the tire off the back door and change the driver side front tire. Where does the jack go?

The owners manual shows where to put the jack. I no manual sometimes there are illustrations where the jack is stored in its compartment. First loosen the lug nuts before you jack up the vehicle, prevents the tire from turning. After jacking up the vehicle finish removing the lug nuts then remove the tire. The spare tire on the door may have a locking lug nut which requires a key to unlock before removing the lug nuts. Key us usually on the ignition key ring. Remove the lug nuts and put tire on the drivers side. Tighten up the nuts on the wheel and after the car is let down from the jack, finish tightening the lug nuts.

Changing Tire

the rim is likely rusted to the hub use a penetrating spray such as pb blaster or aerokroil at the wheel studs. also you can try this put the lug nuts on loosely and drive the vehicle back and forth this sometimes will loosen the wheel. you can also smack the tire from the inside with a hammer be careful not to hit the rim. hope this helps
