Question about 1994 Ford Explorer Limited

Truck just cut off, was a fuse under the hood before and now the

Exact same problem has occured, i don't want to have it towed again and the repair garage will not tell me which fuse they replaced. I told them that i would bring it in to them so they can fix whatever is causing the fuse to blow, just trying to save myself a tow bill. the explorer just cut off, and it will turn over and over. i originally thought it was the fuel pump, but it was a fuse.

Fuse no 4 (30amp) in the under hood fuse box. I would defiantely get it checked though if this fuse is blowing especially with this many amps. Thats a fire hazzard for sure.

Engine stopped running and will not start

has it just stopped before and started up up again. Mine would cut off while I was driving. and I would have a tough time restarting it. It finally stopped where I had to get it towed. i found out after two weeks and $1200 that it was the fuse box under the hood that went bad. Suggestion this suzuki was made by GM. look for AC Delco parts instead of the overpriced suzuki part........Which are exactly the same!!!!!

Battery goes dead when towing long trips in the acc. position to keep the steering wheel unlocked where is the fuse located

All of the fuses are located under the hood, below the air inlet tube that connects the air filter housing to the throttle body, however it may just be easier to disconnect the battery when towing.

My car will turn over but not start. I can hear the pump working. I've put gas in the tank, but the gauge still reflects empty. Also, my gear shifter won't engage. What could this be?

Check the fuse box under the hood. You're looking for a 10amp fuse. On the under side of the lid of the fuse box is a diagram showing what each fuse does. I just had the same problem and after putting in a new battery ( which it needed anyway) and having it towed to a service station, the mechanic called and said the 10amp fuse under the hood was bad. That was all that was wrong. I even checked the fuses before calling for the tow truck, but I couldn't see any bad ones. I think the key to this repair was that the fuel gauge wasn't working even though you knew definitely that there was gas in the car!

I know nothing about cars but my ABS just activated on my 2001 Chevy Suburban. Cut ignition off and motor still running. Happened in 2005 also, cost $1500 to fix. Is there anything I can do so I can drive...

Remove the ABS maxi-fuse (Large fuse) located in the under hood electrical center. In the event you cannot locate that fuse, you can unplug the ABS pump two wire connector at the ABS pump motor located under the vehicle.
Good luck

2000 Chevrolet Impala 3.8L LS fuel pump problem

check your fuel filter. If it is plugged replace it. A plugged fuel filter can cause a fuel pump to have to work too hard & cause it to burn out prematurely
