93 4 Runner fuel problems

I recently got a 93 4 runner that's been parked for 2 years. The only way it would run is if you poured a little fuel in the carb throat. Checked the fuel pump it didn't work (replaced). Test fuel pump by jumping B/Fp terminals. Still unable to start.

Don't worry, there is only about 100 things that can keep the EFI system from working properly. Try this 1st: My '91 4runner wont run properly, or at all, when the Air cleaner / intake assembly is not hooked up / installed, it needs the MAS air flow sensor to measure the incomming air or it will not run. Then, Are you getting positive pressure of fuel to to the engine from the tank yet or is the pump just running? Thread a pressure gauge to the fuel rail on the engine & check pressure with key on / engine off (should be between 35-45 psi) Check / replace the fuel filter & try disconnecting the fuel & return lines lines @ both the tank & Throttle body & blowing out with 25-50 psi air to ensure the line is clear. You may need to vacuume test the fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. If you are still having problems, it can be the injector(s), the fuel pump relay or any of the sensors in the EFI system including the VSV sensor, which measures the fuel pressure & relays the info to the ECM (computer). To check & test all of the sensors it will be worth the $20-30 Haynes or Chilton Manual. start with the easy stuff though, then work up to the sensors & electronics

i went threw same problem its your runner control valves on the passenger side of your ford. theres two of them there s one right behind the altinator and the other is right next to it check them before changing them it could be these stupid little clips ford put on them to hold the hooks in place if they are broken it would cause your ford to shut off. if still cant find the runner control valves go to advanceautoparts.com under search type in runner control valve it ll show you a pic of it now for the clips you can buy them at ford dealer ship or buy door clips and use does which i ve seen done and i havent heard any complaints about it if there not broken try testing the runner control valve. this needs two people one to push on the gas the other to do the test by removing one of the hoses of the valves with your finger hold close the hose and tell the other person to push on the gas pedal if the other runner control valves moves then that one is fine and move on to doing the same to the other until you find which one is broken

Ignition Coil, or Crankshaft sensor going bad. Change your spark plugs and wires then see what happens. Or could be your injectors are clogged. Try some pour in the tank Fuel Injector Cleaner like STP. Any little debris can mess them up.

Runs real lean and surges under throttle massive loss of power

if you have a vacuum guage handy hook it to your manifold and if your reading is under 15 hg then you have a manifold gasket leaking or you could just replace the gasket.

1994 toyota 4 runner rear lights

Your wiring could not have been checked thoroughly. Heres an easy solution. Establish if the earth (-12v) to the bulb holder is stable. If it is then run a new wire from the front park lamps to the rear. That will solve your problem. Remember to cut off the original wire that goes to the rear and insulate it well.
