Question about 1993 Chevrolet Astro

1 Answer

My van will not start it is a 97 Chev Astro and it will almost start occasionally but will click after it decieds not to start? Wondering if it is a celinoid (don't know how to spell it) or the starter in entirety? Or even if it will be just the battery needing a boost?

Sounds like the battery. Have the battery and alternator tested and make sure battery cables are clean.

Need serpentine belt routing diagram 1987 Chev Astro Van 6 cyl

If nobody here provides it for you (I don't have your van's manual), then visit the chevy dealership and ask a not-too-busy shop foreman or a parts dept. person for a little assistance. A quick look in a repair manual for your van may also have it. It must have got scraped off or disappeared from under your hood, on a little sticker?

Looking for location of bcm on 97 astro van dash

The BCM is located immediately above the heater controls inside the dash on my 2004 Astro. I know it controls the headlights and locks but not gauges. Haynes says the gauge fuse supplies it power....but I'm not going to bank on that one.
