Good evening my friend first of all you spent a lot of money throwing differential parts at it why I don't know because it vibrates in park check and see if your car smells like exhaust fumes at the tailpipe try getting a can of mass air flow cleaner and read the label how to clean the center the sensor regulates the amount of air coming into the engine while the computer is regulating how much gas to mix with the air from the center that should fix your problem have a great evening
I am assuming your mechanic was refering to the front differential and your vehicle is 4x4. If the vehicle is in 4x4 all the time you may notice a " hopping " feeling on corners from the front wheels. Otherwise, the differential should not cause steering issues. What type of problem is the vehicle experiencing that concerns you and would lead your mechanic to assess a bad diff?
That sounds very bad, Jorge. Don't drive it any more until you can either get the differential rebuilt or get the axle replaced with another good axle with the same gear ratio.
The deferential rod is sending the vibration.
U need to get the universal joint inspected. Most likely thats where the problem is. dont be surprised if the U-Joint and the deferential rod is a one part now a days. U will be spending big money.
The first thing I'd recommend is to remove your rear brake drums and check to see if you have an axle seal leaking, rear deferential oil on the brake shoes will cause the brakes to lock up.
i still think universal join in drive shaft is dead or could also be the bearing inside deferential or transy ...
do you hear a funny noise or some thing unusual?
go to the rear of the vehicle and look just above the rear end, there is a load sensing porpotioning valve up there, there is a rod that connects the rod to the top of the rear end, if you have raised or lowered the vehicle than that rod needs to be adjusted,
the valve simply diverts fluid to and from the rear brakes depending on rear vehicle ride height, this is for proper stopping ability when the vehicle is loaded down or when it nose dives from a hard stop.
