Question about 2000 Renault Sportwagon
When my car started doing this I ended up paying a dealer £50 just to put 1 litre of transmission fluid in! Since then I found out what to do.
Look in the engine bay on the right hand side. There are a number of pipes. Below the pipes you should see a tube coming up with a stopper in the top. This is he fill point.
There is no dip stick! You must go to a dealer and pay them to connect diagnostic equipment to work out if the level is low.
If the dashboard warning light comes on and the car goes into Limp Home mode then add 0.5 to 1 Litre of fluid.

Computer fault i think,but as its a renault it uses encrypted software,so plugging in a fault finder will only throw up a different code to the one thats actually causing the problem.best advice is a renault dealer
