Not power in lower gears

I have a Hyundai Sonata 1999 when driving it feels as ther's no power
in the lower gears. Its take a while to get some speed up.
Do you think I have some dirt inmy carbs or do I need to spark plugs.

Can anyone let me now were the spark plugs are?

Does the Check Engine light come ON when this happens? Whenever the "Check Engine" light comes on, there is always a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) stored in the ECM (Engine Control Module). You'll need an OBDII (On-Board-Diagnostics) scanner to retrieve any codes recorded/set in ECM. Once you do this and let us know what, if any codes are set, then we can go from there.

I bought a used 2008 sonata with out an owners manual. I know it is a 4 cyl and possibly a 4 speed. The lever also allows me to sift manually through the gears. And it does not have the fog lights on the...

Most likely it is a 4 speed automatic over-drive transmission. You can shift it thru the gears if you want a sporty feel, but not needed. The fog light bulbs may be burned out, a bad fog light fuse or switch. Does the switch illuminate when you switch it on?

Most likely the window regulator (cables & pullys). Replace the regulator.

3rd gear help please!

I have a 2002 Hyundai Sonata and I had the same problem. But mine would always shift into 3rd gear and STAY there until I turned the car off. I took it to a Hyundai dealer and he had to rewire a speed sensor on top of the transmission. Apparently a little animal got up in that tight little spot and gnawed on my sensor wires. The car has run fine since. To make a long story short, it might be your speed sensor on your transmission.

Hyundia Trajet code 1723

P1723 A/t control relay - Stuck on.
This Code is showing that the main control relay of the transmission is stuck on. When that happens transmission goes in to the fail safe mode which is being stuck in 3rd gear to prevent damage to the transmission
