I have a 99 dodge ram 1500 sport and when i removed the stock stereo there was 4 different ports the antenna the gray and black 7,6 pin ones then there was one just kind of sticking on the back with a female clip. i figured that was ground so i tried conecting the ground from my aftermarket stereo to it but it did nithing. do i have to hook up the one from the aftermarket the one from the harness and the one from the female connector. thanks in advance i just cant get the right answer

glad you posted what colors you do have , cause 2 resources didn't match ,actually 3 , i did find a match to your colors was a 97 year model premium radio, so we have a match .....

black/ light green = ground
dark green = left front spkr +
purple = right front spkr +
blue/white = right rear spkr -
brown/blue = left rear spkr -
brown/yellow = left rear spkr +
blue/orange = right rear spkr +
black/yellow = park lamps
brown/red = left front spkr -
orange = dimmer signal
pink = fused battery +
green/red = radio choke relay
red/white = fused ignition
blue/red = right front spkr -

You most likely need a new radio. They go bad all the time in the Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. Don't know how many of them I have replaced.

The fuse box is actually called a TIPM totally intergrated power module. fair common problem on dodge trucks sad to say. it has the front control module attached to it.
