Sub frame has to be lowered and you will need alignement tools to replace or the steering geometry will be out

map sensor
is located on a pipe behind the radiator that runs along the subframe its a black plastic pipe. the maff sensor is on the airbox lid on the moulded bit of pipe on the airbox lid

hi just to make you aware that you might need a constant circit wich meens you need to yous jump leeds from the terminals of the car to the batery that your fiting before you disconect old one no need for re programing key ect

How to remove 2006 ford focus zx4 manual transmission

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Steering column shaft bolt Battery and tray Air intake assembly Resonator Gearshift cables from the transaxle Gearshift cables from the bracket Hydraulic clutch line from retaining bracket Heated Oxygen Sensors (HO2S) and Catalyst Monitor Sensor (CMS) connections
  3. Support the engine using Special Tools 303-290.
  4. Remove or disconnect the following:
    NOTE Matchmark the subframe to the chassis.

    Rear engine mount and mount bracket Reverse lamp switch Upper transmission to engine bolts Tire and wheels Engine roll restrictor Tie rods from the knuckles Lower control arms from the wheel knuckles Stabilizer bar from the strut Power steering lines from the steering gear
  5. Support the subframe with a suitable lifting device.
  6. Remove the six subframe bolts and lower the subframe from the vehicle.
  7. Remove or disconnect the following:

    Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Right hand halfshaft from the transmission and hang securely aside Left hand halfshaft from the transmission and hang securely aside
  8. Loosen, but do not remove, the starter mounting bolts
  9. Disconnect the clutch hydraulic line.
  10. Secure the transmission to a jack or suitable lifting device.
  11. Remove the 10 transmission-to-engine bolts.
  12. Pull the transmission rearward until the input shaft is clear of the pressure plate, then lower the transmission from the vehicle.

Do you have to drop the subframe on a rear wheel drive ford transit to remove the gear box or can it just be pushed back. Its not a connect though

If by subframe you mean the springs. it is easier to remove the whole assembly. but if there is room to get the brake backing plate thru the opening, then you don't have to.

Moaning, whining sound when the clutch is depressed. Gets louder when revving the engine. 2006 Ford Fusion 4 cyl 5 speed manual. I think it might be the throwout bearing but not sure. Don't know if the...

last one or i will not get up for work tomorrow,its the thrust bearing ,**** plastic fittings used ,when it goes completely ,just renew the whole lot ,if you drop subframe then they are easy to change ,about 2 hrs, but you mush drop the subframe ,its only 4 bolts two either side

Car shudders during acceleration in 1st gear.

You don't need to change your clutch!
All you need to do is replace a simple shaft which can be done by any mechanic!
Cost you much less!

Yes unfortunately the engine has to be supported with a support bar from the top,subframe has to come out, and transmission comes out thru the bottom.
