Hi I am Vortash you didnt say where above the control arm front or back and as control arm I am figuring you mean the steering arm ok well the area above the steering rack is the bulk head or body shell .. above the ends of the track rods is the chasis or wheel arches depending on its position .. if this rot is behind the steering rack then it needs seeing to pronto as if it disintegrates then the rack will come free and so will the steering and you will have no control ?. I am guessing you are in the States and I am afraid I dont know the criteria there for Vehicle safety legally .
But here in the UK should a Police Officer find a vehicle with that type of fault on the road it would be confiscated and crushed .. so you need to get it welded soon .. Hope this is of help Regards Vortash

How do I replace front strut mount?

I will suppose you are referring to the upper mount, because the lower part is the A frame or control arm.
The upper mount is welded on to the subframe or the inner fender sheet metal.
That mount might be available as an after market part through a sheet metal supplier who services body shops.
God bless your efforts.

1994 lower control arm broke at balljoint

What brand of car? Some brands have after market heavy duty replacements that are made from heavy duty tubing instead of the sheet metal pressings typical for factory parts.. We have seen them that failed due to the fact that pivot bushings wore completely through and into the pressed sheet metal that had been holding the bushings, and the wear through the sheet metal was progressing rapidly toward failure. Check all the other front end control arm components for similar progressive wear out. This kind of thing can be dangerous. It usually will give brake steer in inconsistent directions before failure.

The k frame is rotted out in my 96 civic where it bolts to the passengers side lower control arm. How do I replace this k frame and will there be welding involved?

you can see if you can get a frame section from the wreckers and replace it or take it to either a welding shop or body shop and have it weld repaired.

If your frame is rotting I wouldn't recommend you invest money into the car unless it's worth it, consult a body shop to assess the damage costs.

Floor board on 1999 GTI rotted out on passagers side in back

Hello
Fixya has no parts resources so I can't suggest the source for this part. I will tell you that you can't just buy a floor board, so you will need to patch it with sheet aluminum and a pop rivet gun.

Is there a rear subframe in a 94 DeVille?

no sub frame only cause there is no rear end on a front wheel drive car... all control arms attach to the body of the car and can be replaced if you ant to deal with the rust involved if it rotted off in the first place...

Bend the sheet metal out of the way. That's what we all do to get them out. Even says to bend the sheet metal bad a tad in the shop manual.

Front sway bar link kit, what is the order of installation. all my bushings are rotted away.

Remove the sway bar links from lower control arms. Replace the sway bar mount to frame bushings first. Then install sway bar link bushings. Note how they come apart and install in the same manner.
