Have you tried checking/replacing the bulb? The socket can be removed from the bottom of the light housing from the trunk.

Left Hand only SIgnal and Brake lights on a 2008 chev 3500 cutaway not working

Turn signal/ multifunction switch. Replace it. All the exterior lights run threw it except the high mount brake light. Check the brake lights. If the high mount works and the others don't . That is a sure sign.

My reverse lights stoped working when I was changing out the shifter

Must have one that has the reverse light switch mounted to the shift (floor?) unit. Find switch and adjust or repair.

Why is the high mount stop light not working?

The same 15amp fuse for the regular brake lights powers the high mount light. If the regular brake lights work but the high mount does not, it could be the lamp monitor or a wiring problem.

Brake lights do not light up when peddle is pressed. bulbs have been changed and, fuses are good

If the high mount light works, and you know the bulbs are good, the problem is probably in the turn signal switch.

High mount and right rear brake light out. high mount is blown but the other 3 are fine. Can the high mount prevent the other brake light from functioning?

Nope, high mount comes directly from the brake switch, the other two come from the brake switch to the turn signal switch then to the back, seen a couple of the circuit boards bad in the tail lamps, if one side is working good try plugging the good side into the other side and see if it still works, if so its the tail light.. P.S. if vehicle has trailer wiring double check that too, usually that's a huge issue...

I put new bulbs in both brake lights and high mount light . brake lights work not the high mount light.

More than likely the sockets in the high mount are burned, replace them..

take out the bulb holder then have some one step on the brakes then pull on the black neutral wire like 1/8 of an inch and the buld will light up.
