VW Polo 1.4 automatic, engine cuts out soon after starting esp if turn left. When accelerator is tapped twice on starting the problem is less. MAP has already been changed but problem is back. Help

    My problem is exactly the same,it only happens now and then,and yes,sometimes after excalarating twice it only continues idling.

My VW 1.4 automatic polo is not changing gears. its just stuck in gear 1 and consumes a lot of fuel.

If the engine light is blinking you have major issues with the vehicle. Have scanned at autozone or similar for codes this will give you a idea what is wrong. Then get back to me when you have codes

Have VW polo 1.4 CL (APQ engine code) registered in 1999 with Fault code 00525. Car difficult to start and when it does cuts out when accelerator is depressed unless left to run for a minute or two. Car...

first make sure you have no close in silence ( catalatic ) exhaust line ) , second make sure the Oxgen sensor is connect (lambda) ,and the timing is ok. intake manufold sensor remove and clean , for catalatic you can loose bolts only to check and accelerate.good luck.

VW POLO V REG keeps cutting out engine sounds rough and there is no power on acceleration.

on the fuel injection rail there's a little round silver vacume thingy put your tumb on it and push whilst some one starts the car. that is if this happends when you start the car and when you try to press the accelerator the car cuts out. i have a '00 polo and this happened me! hopefully this helps.:-)
