Hi i have changed filter and lift pump also put new leak off pipes but still the same,It seems when you leave the car for about 3hours thats when you really have to pump the accelerator to build up the revs.

Sounds like a blocked filter or low pump pressuer

it may be drawing in air on the pressure side( to the pump from the tank) maybe a small pin hole.allowing the fuel to run back to the tank

try running s neew pipe from a jerry can to the lift pump and see what happens, if the car is ok then you are drawing in air, first replace the fuel pipe to the tank, then if still not ok, check the metal pick up pipe into the tank, it only takes a very small pinhole to give you problems,

My Landrover Discovery 300tdi 1995, loses power drastically to almost stopping point. failing to climb steep hills and check engine comes on, only going off when I stop accelerating. This has been gradual...

replace ignition coil, spark plugs, also double chek your coolant temperature must be normal. overheating causes car slows down and engine cant handle excessive high temperature or may damage it.

Landrover discovery Td300 1998

the rev counter on the 300tdi disco takes its speed signal from a wire connected to the back of the alternator (single spade type connector) this wire usually breaks rewire and should be ok

cruise faults are usually caused by a vacuum pipe splitting check all the vac pipes to the cruise control actuator in the engine bay and at the brake pedal switch of end are split cut off and refit pipe

Alarm and imobiliser on a discovery 300tdi

before you cut or rewire the alarm, when welding the disco although disconecting the battery protects the battery, the imobiliser holds current, this my have gone into system factory setting, so it my be worth getting the imob and key re-conected, this is a cheap job at any Landrover specialist. hope your running smooth soon
