Question about 2001 Honda Civic

Honda Civic EX 2001 CD Player

I own a 2001 Honda Civic EX model, and I've been having an issue with the CD player. I know it's not my CDs by just testing them out on other players. The player will play about 1/3 to about half of the CD before it starts skipping or stopping play completely. If I try to skip to the next song, it simply won't play. When I eject the disc (after only 8-10 songs average), it comes out burning hot! What is going on here?

Try to use a cleaning cd to clean the cd player otherwise it may be about time for your cd player to die

I have a 2003 Honda Civic EX coupe. Installed aftermarket radio cd player and the cd works but the radio does not. The issue is not with the new unit as the previous player's radio would not work either....

If you're getting power to the CD player then there's power
to the radio. The antenna involves the grid on the rear window,
an antenna coil and cable to the radio. You can check the
grid for a break and if it's small you're auto parts store will
have a repair kit. My 05 Accord rear window defogger did
not work and it took Honda 2 attempts to repair it. Other
than checking the grid I would bring it to the dealer.

How are you would like 2 know i have a 2004 honda civic ex, im putting in the cd but its spitting it out right back would like to know what can i do

as thier are "NO USER SERVICABLE PARTS" inside a cd player, the only option (other than paying for repair)is replacement.
(car casstte player lifespan 2 to 3 years/cd player 4 yrs MAX.) labour rates for fixing are how much....compared to a new unit...

The exact problem happened to me...

Opposed to a blown fuse, most likely the drained/dead battery caused the radio to "reset" itself. You should have a 5 digit (or 4) code that was provided by the dealer or owner. Most owners write it down somewhere on their owners manual. If not, the dealer can give you the code. Once the code is entered, you back in business!

Good luck!

Honda Civic CD and Cassette player

sounds like a CD read error, try cleaning the laser lens with a CD clearner kit, they are cheap, if it still kicks out the CD then you will need to have it repaired or replaced.
