Question about 1988 Mazda B2600 Cab Plus
Spark plugs 25th points 20th ,check for wear on the drive arm of the distributor ,the square that opens the points .check dwell if you find a dwell meter should be about 50% .check that the drive cam for opening the points isnt worn either ,and most important dont forget a bit of grease on the cam as well .lift rotor arm off and a drip of oil on top of the little sponge .timing could be between 8 to 12 degrees but with the unleaded fuel 95 then about 6 degrees to stop it pinking 8 degrees with 98 unleaded ,thisa engine doesnt need a lead aditive as it was built with stellite coated valves and seats
