This is normal for internal combustion engine. For every gallon of fuel burned it can produce a pint of water.

97 nissan pathfinder dash and tail lights keeps burning out the fuse i know theres a short but where is the best place to look

I have to ask, what was the last thing you were hooking up before the problem started. Did you do any wiring under the dash possibly a radio install, or a wiring harness for trailer at the back of the car. If so, you should look for shorts in those areas. I don't know how easy this will be for you, but start looking.GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Tailpipe hanging

Sounds like a "U" clamp let go or a hanger. If it's a U clamp, they are easy enough to install, surrounding the tail pipe with the clamp and screwing the bolts on both sides. If it's a hanger, you can temporarily secure the tailpipe with a coat hanger. Only other reason would be a break in the weld from mid pip to tail pipe. You would definitely hear this if that were the case and would need to have it re-welded.

Check the bulbs for burnt filaments. Take a multimeter and test your feeds and grounds at each socket. Possible multifunction switch failure. The switch that works your head and tail lamps.

Dashboard and tail lights out on 97" Nissan Sentra

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

Hi Pathman,

I was going over unsolved problems and found yours.

After a cool night, condensation forms on the cool metal. The white smoke is that condensation burning off. If it did not stop, that would be indicative of a worse problem.
