A head gasket is a big job. if you aren't familiar with engines i would suggest having it done at a shop. the head gasket is keeping the engine head and the engine block sealed.
it requires time and the removal of many important pieces that can cause problems if not done correctly

What is the safe coolant temp in a 1989 Cadillac Eldorado

225-230 deg F is what the Caddy forum says. 250 F can be tolerated briefly when towing, going up a mountain etc.

Need to know what a P52,P109, and a I52 code are on a '95 caddy eldo with the 4.6L Northstar

I think all three codes are for loss of memory in the computer.
Normally this happens when you disconnect the battery.
Not sure how these codes would affect the transaxle.
The Northstar is a different bird from other Cadillacs - so these codes may be something different for it.

How to reset the security system on a 1994 Cadillac eldorado 4.6 northstar?

The security system (VATS/Passkey) installed on these GM cars is anti-owner more than an anti-theft. There are 3 parts involved:
  1. The chip-key
  2. The lock cylinder
  3. The TDM (aka the brain of the system)
if any of these parts fails or is even slightly malfunctioning, the car stays stuck where you are and you only get a dealer asking you about 1,000$ to fix it. And all the 3 parts have a quite short lifespan. Way too many people got in this situation (including myself). I don't recommend any partial solution or any used parts as it would happen again way too soon to be acceptable and if it happens 100 miles from home (like it happened to me....) it's a big burden. I finally made it to save my beloved 94 Park Avenue (with the exact same system that is installed in your car) with a solution that I found on the internet and that bypasses the entire factory security system, all 3 pieces altogether and you can even remove the TDM at the end and use 99c keys without chip. The product I used is at http://newrockies.com and is still working perfectly after 5 years. Don't go to the dealer!

94 eldorado stalls

First impression is a MAP sensor. If you take the car to a service station or an auto parts store that features free diagnostic tests, I'm sure the MAP sensor fault will appear. Other cause could be the TPS which controls the idle at cold, warm, and AC operation settings. It's possible that you're stalling due to insufficient idle speed setting on the TPS.

Northstar Engine

First NORTHSTAR ( 1992 ) engines were quite troublesome, from faulty starters ( in the middle of the engine ) to loss of oil pressure.
