Replaced fuel pump in 1998 for ranger

It will turn over but still not start comes up with code po232 fuel pump secadary to high does anyone know what this means? Also has a code of p0102 maf/vaf cercuit low impute

    Thank you for all the help we did find a short in one of the wire going to fuel pump and it is working now. you are great

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0232 indicates that the powertrain control module (PCM) detected the FPM circuit voltage was high when the fuel pump was commanded off. The FPM circuit is wired to a pull-up voltage inside the PCM. The FPM circuit will go high if, with the key on and the fuel pump commanded off, the FPM/FP PWR circuit loses its path to ground through the fuel pump. The FPM circuit will also be high if the FPM/FP PWR circuit is shorted to power.
Possible causes:
No Start:
Inertia fuel shutoff (IFS) switch not reset or electrically open.
Open circuit between the fuel pump and FPM circuit connection to the FP PWR circuit.
Poor fuel pump ground.
Fuel pump electrically open.
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0102 indicates the MAF sensor signal went below 0.39 volt (refer to Voltage to Mass Air Flow Conversion Table at beginning of this Pinpoint Test) sometime during normal engine operation (Continuous) or during Key On Engine Running (KOER) Self-Test.
Did you have the MAF unplugged?

Check the inertia switch. It is below the glove box. Try pushing it and see if it starts. Also try holding it down and have someone turn the key.

Fuel pump relay secondary circuit - high voltage

Here is the definition for the code.
Test procedures are a little different depending on the make and model.

P0232 Description The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides ignition positive voltage to the coil side of the fuel pump relay. When the ignition switch is first turned ON, the ECM energizes the fuel pump relay, which applies power to the fuel pump. The ECM enables the fuel pump relay as long as the engine is cranking or running, and crankshaft reference pulses are received. If no crankshaft reference pulses are received, the ECM de-energizes the fuel pump relay after 2 seconds. The ECM monitors the voltage on the fuel pump relay control circuit.

I have this code on my 1999 mustang v6 3.8 P0411 its the secadary air flow incorrect flow i replaced the egr vavle, vac. tubes spark plug wires the fuel filter. i just order the air/smog pump could that be...

The secondary air pump has failed and will need to replaced. The pump is an emissions component meant to help with cold start emissions. Replace it, clear the code & you should be fine. I hope this information was helpful.

What is faut code po232 fule pump circit high on ford focus

when this code comes on does the car kill or is it still running?
It is either a bad fuel pump or bad relay.

Fuse box diagram for a 1998 Ford F-150.

I believe you can go to and get a diagram of your fusebox. To find out if the pump is working you can lay under the truck and place your ear against the tank while having someone else turn the key to the point just before it engages the starter. You should be able to here the pump humming. If it doesnt, the pump or fuse is probably bad.

p0102= mass air flow sensor is dirty or needs to be changed.
p0232= recheck your wiring. you might have crossed wires when changing fuel pump or your fuel sensor might be faulty

My truck wont turn on

check for fuel, fuel pump could be getting hot then shutting off,
could be fuel pump relay, could be coil, computer,etc just a couple places for you to start

My Ford ranger does this too. It's been a while since I read on this but if I'm not mistaken I think this is normal.
