Check emissions vacuum for disconnected lines as most climate controls use vacuum baffles for air flow..

There has to be something blocking the output somewhere. Check where vents come out to see if something has fallen down to block them.

Defrorstores stay on ,try to change to floor, ac, heat vent ,deforstores still on 1995 thunderbird lx blower motor works great.

Some cars use vacuum from the engine to open and close the doors that direct the air to different positions. It is possible that the vacuum line to the controls is cracked or disconnected.

1997 Ford Taurus front defrost not working

. Air won't blow out of the floor or center vents just defrost ? Do you have manual or automatic climate control ?
Air Flow Control
Air flow control is accomplished in the following manner:
  • Primary control is through the function selector knob mounted on the A/C-heater function selector switch, which is part of the integrated control panel.
  • The function selector knob has the following positions: OFF, MAX A/C, A/C, PANEL, PANEL/FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST. The A/C-heater function selector switch combines a vacuum selector valve with an internal electrical switch.
  • The vacuum selector valve directs source vacuum to various vacuum control motors (18A318). Refer to the Vacuum Control Diagram , System Airflow Schematics and Vacuum Control Chart .
  • Two internal, single-pole electrical switches are also controlled by the A/C-heater function selector switch. The combination of these electrical switches controls the electrical supply to the A/C clutch and heater blower motor switch (18578).
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.
  • Vacuum Control Motors The vacuum control motors (18A318):
    • are located on the A/C evaporator housing, A/C recirculation air duct and heater air plenum chamber (18471).
    • direct system airflow to the vehicle interior as determined by the remote climate control module or manual override.
    • The five-passenger seating configuration has an additional vacuum control motor mounted on the heater air plenum chamber to control airflow to the rear seat A/C register (19893).

1997 toyota camry climate control switch or servo not working fully

Blend doors not working. They are controlled electronically by small motors. Could also be something fell down in a vent and is blocking it from it's full range of motion.

The ac on my 1998 ford ranger only blows out the defrost vent and floor vent. How do I fix it?

Almost sounds like the actuators are inop. depending on which style you have, some are electrical motors and some are vacuum. These control the mode doors which move to deflect air to various vents.

2000 Ford Taurus SEL ac/heat blows through floor and defrost vents only

There is no vacuum to the controls. Look for a vacuum hose that is no longer connected to the engine intake manifold and repair it.

AIr always comes out of the dash vents no matter where the controls are set.

Sounds like a vacuum motor problem which controls the blend door and its position inside the dash board area where the flapper directs air from the heater core to the defrost vents or the vents, or the floor, as directed by climate controllers on the dash. Good luck on this repair.

The upper air vents will not open so only the floor ones and the defrost will work

{: ) It is possible that the mode actuator is malfunctioning, and this is usually the cause in most cases. It can also be a stuck or binding mode actuator door.
Sometimes the wirings and connectors can give problems. If the signals do not reach the actuator properly, the control sysytem will assume a default mode position, and air will flow only to the floor and defrost vents.
Check carefully your climate control settings.

My 04 crown vic will not change off from defrost, indicator lights show floor and vent when pushed but air flow stays on defrost, it does have automatic climate control if that makes any difference

Check for vacum at the heater control ports behind the dash and for vacum leaks. For safty reasons the
system is designed to go to defrost mode in case you lose vacum to the system. Hope this helps.

No dashboard heat output

The climate control was poorly designed on these cars.

There is only heat on the floor and defrost settings, due to the layout of the ductwork.
