Need '01 Audi A6 radio code

    Radio # AUZ5Z4Y0147237

    VIN WAUEH64B21N020152

    "Symphony" radio

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

No, there's no sticker in the spare tire well. And dealers will not give out code, I tried four different dealers in my area.

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

I have the manual for the radio, so I know how to enter the code. I just don't have the four-digit code.
The code card in the manual is blank.

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Does anybody out there work for an Audi dealer and have access to this info ?

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

I even called Audi "Client Relations" 800 number, they were very friendly and polite but could not provide that code number...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

8979 and 0979 do not work...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Any Audi experts out there ??
Somebody please look up this radio code for me

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

radio-code.com can NOT get Audi codes

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Tried all that, dealer will not give code over the phone. They say the car has to be present,
which is hard for me to do since the nearest dealer is over an hour away.

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

No, radio-code.com can not get any Audi codes...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Called Audi 800 number, no help...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Have all the books and manuals, but all the car specific information is left blank, even selling dealer, delivery date etc.

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Exactly right, that's why I'm hoping to find somebody who works for a dealer and has access to that stuff...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Cool web site, but of no help for getting code

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Hi Techie, cool program, but it doesn't do Audis

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

No, I did not try to enter 1000, but I don't think it's likely that the code would be 1000

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

No, I did not try to enter 1000, but I don't think it's likely that the code would be 1000

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

    3346 does not work

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Trying all 9999 possible combinations could take forever because the radio "locks up" after two attempts and you have to wait an hour before you can enter another code. So this could take thousands of hours...

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

Yeah, that's a direct quote from the manual.
Problem is: I don't have that CODE !!

  • andy_net Feb 18, 2009

0000 and 1234 do not work

  • reidjazz Feb 28, 2009

I have a code 0414, but how do I enter it?

Differently from other radios, the Simphony code cannot be calculated with common software.

If you lose your radio code, contact your Audi dealer.

Audi car radio starting with Auz cannot be calculated. They can only be obtained at an Audi authorized car dealer, not even a generic car dealer won't have access to the codes.

The 8979 and 0979 codes are the ones calculated by software, and they will not work.

The 1000 code is the one that is often set by mistake, as that is the default number popping up when you set the code, but this is not your case.

Also ensure that you do not have the word SAFE on display, in that case things are different.

The car dealer charges half an hour labour for giving you the code, but that is the only way out on this particular car, you can make it faster if you give them your AUZ code.

If I was in your shoes I would not waste anymore time , and go to a big audi car dealer to have the job done in ten minutes, in this case we cannot help.

I am telling this to save your time , as on this particular radio the code cannot be calculated

Hold dow the p scan and rids buttons simultaneously untill the display shows 1000. then use the 1-4 buttons to input the radio code. then press psacn and rids.
Turn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3,and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. Sir,

Most of the time radio goes into safe mode when battery is replace. Check your radio manual and trunk , where spare tire is , sometimes the sticker is still there from the factory . It's 4 digit number. The last thing - go to the dealer (only dealer will get this code). If you can pull the radio out, there is a number on the side ( most time on r/ side) which starts with AUZ...... .

    Thanks
    Good Luck

The serial number should be imprinted on one of the sides of the radio. Write that number down and any other numbers around it. When you call the dealership, they will ask you for the serial number and your car's serial number located under the windshield on the driver side. If they find that the codes match in their computer, it will give them a four digit code that they should give you which will make the radio work. (Note that the radio has to be designed to work with your car, or the codes will not match up, and if you try the codes more than three times with unsuccessful results, it will lock up for 2 to 3 hours at a time, not allowing you to do anything with it.)

Only the manufacturer can give you the code. As long as you have the serial number registered under your account, they can easily provide you the code for the radio.

This is how you have to do it---

    1. Take out the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out.

    2. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side.

    3. Call Mitsubishi with the serial number. They will ask for proof of ownership, so have the title ready.

    4. Input the 4 digit code and enter it by pressing cd button.

    5. Also, try to find it written in the owners manual on the back pages.

    Thanks

IN ORDER TO GET THE FACTORY RADIO THEFT DETERRENT CODE YOU MUST REMOVE THE RADIO AND RECORD THE MODEL AND SERIAL NUMBER, THEN CALL AUDI WITH PROOF OF OWNERSHIP, THEY CAN THEN GO INTO THE FACTORY BUILD DATA ON YOUR PARTICULAR CAR AND GET YOUR UNIQUE RADIO CODE, THIS ASSUMES YOU HAVE LOST THE CARD THAT CONTAINED THE CODE THAT CAME WITH THE ORIGINAL OWNERS PACKET IN THE GLOVE BOX.

Hello, can you please help me, I have a problem entering the radio code for audi a6, it keep on saying safe with an icon that looks like this II.. Model: concert Serial .‎№:...

IMPORTANT NOTE: You must have the security anti-theft code for your Audi radio from the car manufacturer, or from an Audi dealer!

The sequence of programming for 2002 Audi A6 radio is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.
3. By the #1 key you will set up the first safe code digit.
4. By the #2 key you will set up the second safe code digit.
5. By the #3 key you will set up the third safe code digit.
6. By the #4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed. The radio is now ready for use!
Please do rate my response. Thanks!

2001 Audi A6 2.7t , my audi symphony radio locked out

You will need the code to get it working. You may need Audi for this. Never disconnect the battery, or the alarm with trip on. Since it is frozen, I would try and remove the fuse, and reinstall it to reset the stereo. Then try the code.
I got lucky in my 2001 VW passat, when the stereo code was needed, but then the next day it started working by itself.

try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..

YOU NEED TO HOLD DOWN THE BUTTONS DESCRIBED IN MANUAL TO GET THE RADIO DISPLAY IN THE CODE ENTRY MODE.
