Recieving a code p-0351 on a ford expedition 02, motor cranks but no fire, engine threw two spark plugs out of the head and have replaced them with extensions.

ALL SPARK PLUGS DEAD
FUSES BLOWN?
NOT TOLD DOES STARTER MOTOR CRANK THE ENGINE FAST?
SCAN THE PCM FOR DTC ERRORS.
NO FIRE MEANS WILL NOT RUN OR
ALL SPARK TIPS FAIL TO FIRE(CALLED SPARK)
OR ONLY ENGINE DEAD.

Sounds like head gasket again, but may be more serious this time. Overheating is not something to take lightly.

Pull plugs. crank. Water come out of cylinders? Head gasket. Possible cracked block or head this time, too. I'd be looking at a replacement engine.

OBD II Fault Code

• OBD II P0351 Ignition Coil "A" Circuit Primary/Secondary Malfunction

What does this mean? The ignition coil or coils are responsible for igniting the air/fuel mixture inside the combustion chambers. Without reliable performance from the ignition coil(s) the vehicle will stumble and misfire.
Code P0351 indicates there's an electrical problem in either the primary ( the computer side ) or the secondary ( the spark plug side ) of the Ignition Coil "A" Circuit.
Symptoms

• Check Engine Light will illuminate
• Engine idles rough
• Engine misfires on acceleration
• In rare cases, the engine may not exhibit noticeable symptoms

Common Problems That Trigger the P0351 Code

• Defective Ignition Coil(s)
• Defective Spark Plug(s)
• Intake Manifold Vacuum leaks
• Carbon buildup in the Throttle Body air passages
• Defective Idle Air Control Valve or Electronic Body

Common Misdiagnosis

• Ignition coil(s) replaced when cause of the malfunction was a vacuum leak
• Spark Plugs replaced when cause of the malfunction was a vacuum leak

There is voltage on all three wires because there is no ground, check with engine cranking. The two wires that go to computer are grounds for coils. You could probably use a noid lite to check for pulse, engine cranking. That should be safe, between primary voltage and one of the grounds. There several ways to visually check for a pulse. If your digital multimeter has a min/max setting, that should work. You could use an l.e.d. but you would have to use resistor.
You changed computer, was it new?

It can be faulty or dirty spark plug itselfd.Also for reference get the fuel level checked.Is the fuel tank is empty or near to empty.
Try cleaning the spark plugs and then see if that is helpin.On some cases the black carbon layer gets collected on the spark plugs and that causes the problem,so cleaning the plugs help.But if its not helping,then spark plug has to be replaced.Spark plugs get power from ignition coil to ignite sparks.If ignitioncoils are faulty then also there will no spark.--------------

Remove a spark plug and connect its wire back on it and lay the plug against the engine...crank engine to see if you have spark.

If you have spark...put plug back in and move to fuel system.

Wait a minute...if your engine is not cranking or turning over...then check your battery and starter.

Spark plugs and wires,
Bad or leaky vacuum line
Bad 02 sensors, (check engine light would likely be on)

If it doesn't do it at idle, then motors mounts should be good and the problem is one of the listed above.

FIRST OF ALL YOU HAVE CHANGE SPARK PLUGS WHEN ENGINE IS COOL.IF YOU CHANGE THEM WHILE ENGINE IS HOT YOU COULD DAMAGE THE ALUMINUM HEADS OR CAUSE DISTORTION.TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS YOU NEED A SPARK PLUG SOCKET.A TORQUE WRENCH.ITS NOT MANDATORY.BUT IT WILL KEEP YOU FROM OVER TIGHTEN SPARK PLUGS.YOU NEED A 3/8 RATCHET AND EXTENSION.YOU ALSO NEED A SPARK PLUG GAP GAUGE.AND SPARK PLUG BOOT PULLER.YOU ALSO NEED SOME ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND.TO PREVENT DAMAGE THREADS WHEN INSTALLING THE SPARK PLUGS.
