I have 65,000 miles on my car and want to know if I should change my timing chain at this amount

You don't have to change your timing chain.. Timing chain last forever... If you don't hear any noise coming out from you engine, that means : nothing to worry about it... You can only adjust timing chain if there's any noise on the engine... Otherwise, just drive and go for fun... I have 2004 Solara and 110,000 miles already.. still runs great!.. My mechanic told me if I hear any noise like a chain noise, I have to see him for adjustment... I hope this message helps you...

    My 2004 4-cylinder has 187000+ miles and I never replaced the timing chain. Do let mechanics trick you into replacing something that ain't needed!

should only need oil change till 90k then depending on whether it is a4 or 6 cylinder you will be due for a major srv and if v6 a timing belt hope this helps please rate

I need to know at what millage I should change the timing belt of my 2006 toyota Solara and also when to change the timing belt of a 1999 ford explorer sport.

Personally, I wouldn't go much past 80000 miles before changing timing belts. Some folks would have you change them even earlier.

I have 94,000 miles on my 2004 Toyota Camry Solara. Do I need a Timing belt at this time. What else is essential at this time? I am trying to save money.

i would replace the belt. if the belt breaks you could bend the valves. i had mine break at about 102,000. bent 4 valves.

When driving, the temperator might go up a little and the gear might not change on specified timing.

Belt or chain on 2005 solara

The 3.3 litre Solara V6 has a timing belt.
This belt is recommended to be replaced every 90,000 miles.
