Question about 2001 GMC Jimmy

2001 Jimmy. Speakers don't work/ Heat stuck on High

I have 2 problems. The speaker in the left rear quit working about 1 year ago. Slowly the rest followed suit. All I have left is the dash right hand and the dash left hand intermittently. Is this a bad ground somewhere? 2nd problem, it's been sitting awhile and got in this weekend and the heat is stuck on high. It has every option available including climate control. Is the heat contolled by vacuum?

    Rick,
The heat stay on high. The blower works properly, I just can't turn down the temperature. It also seems like the heat always comes out of the dash vents. It's like something is stuck or frozen. I live in Canada and its been cold. Is this system run off of vacuum?
    Thanks,
    Ed

Back speakers went out in my Chrysler 300. What can make it do that??

Do you have replacemente speakers of same resistance? Test. If work, change them
If don't work, migh be a failure in output channel of your audio device
Why this happens? Might be defective from factory. I had to change rear speakers on my Sunfire 2001 with just 1 year of use . I couldn't believe that the problem were the speakers... and they were!. Since then, they've been woking flawlessly

Why do my all my lights work on my 2001 GMC jimmy except my low beams.

Replace the turn signal switch. All the exterior lights run threw it except the high brake light. There is a small plastic clip/switch in it that controls high and low setting. Because of heat it starts to melt and quits working.
