I would guess that is a good guess, look in the owners manual or call the dealer.

Well, let me just say that if you have gone 10,000 miles without servicing your brand-new Lexus, you are a LOT braver than I would ever be. I certainly do not have the gold available to pay for the possible consequeces of pulling that one off. When was the last time you even checked your engine oil level? I have seen MANY vehicles run completely out of oil between 3000 mile services and completely DESTROY the engines! 10,000 miles is REALLY taking HUGE chances!

You may have 2 separate problems...One for the oil needing service and one for a problem with your AWD system. However, Toyota and Lexus are known for disabling things like AWD, ABS, Traction Control, etc. when the engine computer detects things like low oil pressure or low oil levels. This can cause several warning lamps to all come on at the same time.

GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED!!! Hopefully, you will be one of the lucky ones and have not done any serious damage by not getting it serviced when you should have.

Your oil should be changed every 3000 miles (Or every 5000 miles if you are using full-synthetic oil). You should also check the oil level between services AT LEAST every 1000 miles (or more often, if you are having to add oil at 1000 miles). For a properly maintained vehicle, checking the oil level between oil changes SHOULD seem a total waste of time. However, it is the single, MOST IMPORTANT thing you can spend your time on when it comes to getting a lot of miles from your investment. If your engine starts using (burning) oil or if it starts leaking oil, you will not know about it in time to save your engine if you are not in the habit of checking it on a regular basis.

I have a used 2008 toyota highlander which did only 73,000 miles on my purchase three months ago.i have done only 2,000 miles. when do i have to go for servicing?

You should change your engine oil and oil filter at 3000 miles with a good brand engine oil then change it every 5000 miles or 6 months which ever comes first.
Good luck and thanks for your question and I hope my suggestions help. Don't forget to rate me.

Oil change frequency.I just bought this Jeep. I looked in the manual and it says every 3000-4000 miles. The gauge on the info center says next oil change due at 7300 miles. Leading me to believe that it...

The 3000-4000 mile oil chnage interval is for extreme driving as described in the user manual. If you are not driving in stop and go traffic, frequent engine shut off's and restarts or dusty conditions, short trips, you can adhere to the higher mileage interchange. Your vehicle should alert you when service is due.

How often to change the oil

it depends on what type you are using if you are using conventional oil (regular oil) i would change it every 3000 miles if you are using synthetic then you can go over 6000 miles.of course the sooner the better for your engine.

How often do I change the oil in my new Lincoln MKX ...every 2000 km or every 5000 km?

The owner's manual calls for changing oil and filter every 7500 miles in normal service, or if driving in dusty conditions, offroad, or lots of low speed and idling (a taxi or maybe an unlucky commuter), go to the extreme service intervals of 5000 miles. Changing oil every 3000 miles is definitely NOT required.

My service engine light

Is the "Service Engine" light, or the "Change Engine Oil" light? Do you have the service books, or owners books, that came with the car? I had the same problem with the "Change Engine Oil" light. The fix was in the book. If you don't have it, email me at phil811@comcast.net, and I can tell you how to fix it.
