Question about Ford Merkur Scorpio
Hi,i had the same problem on my 1.9tdi auto. it was so bad that lorries were overtaking me as i was too slow, how embarrassing. After doing a few searches and rattling my brains the solution was to renew the MAF ( MASS AIR FLOW). I did this myself and could not believe the difference. that was nearly two years ago.and have covered some miles since then. if you need any more help on this problem i am willing to help, good luck

Your not giving me much information ;like has the car been serviced lately?as you do not provide this information im going to give you five possable causes;1 fuel filter chocked [replace]2 faulty injector.3timing belt incorrectly fitted.4 fuel pump faulty or delivery pressure low.5 injection pump timing incorrect. The only other thing im going to suggest is, before you try any of the above buy a can of diesel fuel cleaner and run it through your fuel system you might be surprised.hope this will help you.adrian
