If you ran the car out of gas it could be the fuel pump.

98 firebird ran out of gas now it want start. acts like it isn't getting fuel.

It is more than likely air locked if you turned the engine with no fuel in it. So remove the fuel pipe from the engine and crank the engine till the fuel comes out then connect it to the engine again

My 98 firebird ran out of gas. now it want crank. what do i do?

You have likely burned out the electric fuel pump, when you run out of gas or run it below 1/8 tank it overheats (the gas cools and lubes the fuel pump) the fuel pump inside the gas tank and it seizes up, no fuel pressure not start.

1991 S-10, will crank but wont start

You say it is getting gas, do you know for sure that gas is getting past the injectors ? And do you have normal fuel pressure, compression, and spark at the plugs ?

2009 chevy aveo ran out of gas now it wont crank

No crank to a mechanic means the starter motor doesn't spin the engine over, is this what you mean? Or do you mean the engine cranks over but will not fire up and run? If it is the latter have you added at least 3 gallons of gas to the tank to make sure the electric fuel pump inside the tank can properly prime? If not do that, also you can spray starting fluid into the engine engine air intake pipe after adding the 3 gallons and see if that gets it going. If it still will not start you have burned up the fuel pump and you will need to drop the fuel tank and replace the pump, remember the pump is cooled and lubricated by the gasoline it runs in, so when you run low on fuel or out you can very quickly severely damage the small electric fuel pump. Never let the gas gauge level go below 1/8 tank to prevent premature fuel pump failure.

It have a 1994 crown victoria it ran out of gas I put 5 gallons of gas in it, when I turned the motor over it started right up, it ran for about a minute and a half then quit. I changed the filter, checked...

Air in the fuel line. Take one small wire off the starter relay and turn and hold the key in the start position for a while. Listen for the fuel pump. It will run fast for a second then slow down. When it does, put the wire back on the starter relay and crank the engine.

I have a 92 firebird v6 it runs and drives when givin gas it starts stalling know it wont start

I take it the car ran and just died and now wont start at all?

Can you hear the fuel pump run for about 2 seconds when the key is first turned to ON?

Is there a security light on in the dash? Does the engine turn over/ starter working?

Check for spark. Pull the coil wire from the cap and place it close to a ground (may need a screw driver placed in the end) like an intake manifold bolt. Don't make it touch the ground, just place it close. Crank the engine over and watch for spark.

Any spark?

Check these and come back and comment with some answers and I should have an idea of where to help you further.

1995 Pontiac Firebird, V8, will not start, just cranks. I tapped the fuel tank as the key was engine was turning and it almost started, but didn't. It has gas, is it the fuel pump?

Spray some starter fluid in the breather to see if it starts. if it does then that is a fuel related problem. If it doesn't that will be electrical.

99 fire bird wont start

Sounds like the fuel pump is bad. You need to test fuel pressure. I can tell you the fuel pressure spec, but what year is it 89 or 99? And what engine?
