Question about 2003 Lincoln Navigator
The computer system tells me that:
1.my door light is ON (when the door is closed)
2.that my liftgate is open (which is not), i have to manually open the liftgate
3.My interior light and mirror light stays on when i turn off the vehicle for about 15 minutes before it turns off, which is killing my battery.
4.my running boards don't open, which works fine when the liftgate works.
5.The vehicle stalls when i put it on reverse or stop.
6.The Advence traction light is on
7. the Anti-lock ABS light is ON
8.the heated seat and lighter are not working (which i will check the fuse).
9. the air suspension on the left rear side is lower then the other ones...
I have brought the vehicle to 2 different mechanics which temporarely fixed the liftgate and running boards only, but after 2 or 3 days back to the same problems.
If you can please help me on these problems. i think it's probably 1 or 2 bad electric connection that is causing all these problems. if you have any solutions or a procedure that i can check where is the main problem would be great, and if can provide me with a pdf of the Electric wiring.
Take the vehicle an have it hooked up to a professional type scan tool that will communicate with all the computers on the vehicle !
If these lights are on 6.The Advence traction light is on

Sounds like the sensor/switch that detects if the door is closed or open is faulty, you can get the part from the dealership and replace it yourself or take it into the dealership or any repair shop and have them check it out and fix it.

If you mean the outside rearview mirrors, they have a courtesy light called a puddle light. And if not working, you may have the interior overhead light turned off on its selector switch.
Usually this is caused by the rear hatch or rear tailgate window not being fully closed. Some models may have an extra courtesy switch in the rear cargo area that is intended for "picnic" mode and overrides the automatic shutoffs.
There is suppose to be a battery "minder" which is suppose to keep the battery from discharging when lights are left on. You may need a dealer to explain why this feature has not worked.
