Truck dies when i stop or slow down

Hello, I have a 2003 Dodge Durango. Fixed air leak, replaced camshaft sensor, and replaced the map sensor, but my truck still dies when i come to a stop at lights,stop signs and whenever i slow down to make turns. At first it would not crank or start at all. It cranks right back up & runs perfect while im driving. I put it on the computer & it passed. My check enginle light is not on. Can it be bad gas or something? Can anyone help because im dumbfounded? Thank you.

    i was driving my truck and all of a sudden it just felt like nothing at accelerator sputtered and died,check engine light came on started again,died a block later no start now at all.replaced crank sensor in nov2013 because of no start.could it be a fuel pump or filter?what about another sensor?

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

2000 Dodge Durango 5.2L V8 starts but won't run


By run - do you mean it dies when you put it in gear? Or that it just bogs down when you attempt to accelerate or drive away?
..
A plugged Catalytic converter will cause this. So will a Bad MAP or MAS (Mas Air ) sensor. So will a bad TPS (Throttle Position) sensor.
....
Need more input to answer more precisely.

sounds like a possible idle air sensor and or a failing head gasket if it has the 2.7 I would suggest having the journals in your heads clean or blown out because they had a flaw in those heads that can cause catastrophic damage.

REMOVAL - 4.7L
The Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) on the 4.7L V–8 engine is bolted to the front/top of the right cylinder head (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).

It is easier to remove/install sensor from under vehicle.

Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector at CMP sensor (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Remove sensor mounting bolt (CMP Location—4.7L Engine).
Carefully twist sensor from cylinder head.
Check condition of sensor o-ring.

Heater does not work. Truck dies at stops


As far as heat goes I would replace your Thermostat and that should stop it from blowing cold due to the fact its probably stuck open unless your heater switcher arnt switching from vent to heat when you turn them. Does your temp gauge show your truck is running cooler then it use too? As far as it dying when you come to a stop that might be a few things I would check idle screw first then plugs clean or replace then Go to throttle position sensor (TPS) or AIR TEMPERATURE SENSORS (IAT) sensor. They somtimes wont turn your service engine light on but still will cause problems if they need cleaned.

Sensor "A" Error Messages


I would suggest replacement of your camshaft sensor as the first line of action, of course check your wiring and connectors first by unplugging them and plugging them back in.I will be glad to help you further if this doesn't solve your problem!
