Re: Security system ,car will not start
Do you have keyless unlock remote? sometimes when you do and you unlock your door manually the car will "think" it is being stolen and will shut down. try locking your doors and unlock them with the remote

If that light is flashing it is indicating a fault is present in the vehicle's security system, that could be a door switch issue or other things problems, a scn of the system will reveal a fault code that helps to diagnose the problem.
If the Security Light is on but is not flashing, the security system is fine. If the security light is flashing then turn the ignition key to the run position (do not start). Wait over ten minutes and then try to start the engine. After the ten minutes you should notice that the light stopped flashing. If the engine starts then you do have a problem with the Passlock Security System.
This happens due to a failed or failing antitheft system. When the system cant communicate properly, it will disable your starter or injectors and show the SECURITY light. Go to this link for info and ways to beat this system yourself.
if security light is flashing turn ignition switch to run position but do not try to start light will be flashing let vehicle sit for about ten or fifteen mins. light will stop flashing when it does start car you have just reset security system
You need to reprogram the security system. Hook up a battery charger. Turn the key on for 11 min. The security light should go off. Turn the key off for 5 sec. Turn the key on for 11 minutes again. repeat this three times. After the 3rd time the truck should start
The security system may have something to do with it. The system sends a signal from the key to the i/p cluster, then to the ecm to allow the fuel injectors to operate.
Is the security light on when you try to start the car and leave the key in the run position? Does the security light flash when the key is left in the run position after you try to start the engine? If so, let the security light flash until it stops, turn off the key for 30 seconds, then try to restart the engine. If the engine starts and the security light stays off have someone get the codes out of the security system and have it fixed properly.
