YOu can get a new head light from Auto zone or the dealership. Just buy the part. Turn to the page of changing out the headlight in your manuel. I have done it. It really is step by step and is very easy. If you don't have a manuel you can google it. Instructions to change a head light for whatever year grand am it is and it will tell you step by step. Truely, very easy. Trust me...If I can do it, anyone can. Only about $8

Have a cylinder leakage test or co2 test done. my prefered method is a leakage test as it checks heads, head gaskets, valves, rings all in one test.

Hi hou to repl.rear suspension strut and what will itcost to have it repaced at a shop. Henry mi car is a 2001 pontiac grand am se.

to replace a strut you will need to buy the whole new strut and find a way to compress the spring after you have removed the strut from the vehicle. you will need to put the spring on your new strut. the strut will usually have three bolts under the hood and about two connected to the steering knuckle. in a shop they usually charge anywhere from 50 to 80 dollars an hour and it just depends on how long it will take them to do the job for you. you can always call and get a quote.

How do i change the fuel pump on 2001 pontiac grand am se 4 cyc

The fuel pump is inside the tank, you need to drop the tank (or one side) so you can access the large ring that secures the pump assembly (its usually on top of the tank, might have access through the trunk) Turn lock ring to remove assy and swap in new one. All pumps have relays now days so check that first under the hood or in the fusebox.

Need to change drivers headlight

pull the clips on the left and right behind the light, if youre changing a bulb grab the one you need to change, if your changing the whole headlamp assy unplug it sll and plug it back in and re insert the 2 clips. There may be a black piece of plastic over the top of them.

Trying to change right side low beam bulb 2005 grand prix

there are two L shaped metal rods/brackets that you pull out to remove the whole headlamp assy. dont touch the glass bulb with your hands. the oil from your hands can ruin the bulb or shorten the life.

My 2001 pontiac grand am is cutting off while in drive. It hesitates when I'm accelerating on inclines and the service engine light is on and the trac off lights comes on when it is hesistating.

Go to Autozone and let them check the SES light with their scanner, it's free. May be a faulty MAP Sensor. Don't just buy the sensor if they tell you a certain sensor is out. You need to locate the sensor and check if there is a vacuum hose attached to it. If there is, inspect it for rot/holes first.
GM is notorious for using sub-standard rubber vacuum hoses. They literally will disintegrate in your hand after 7-10 years.

Remove head light assembly

when you open the hood you will see a plastic part on top of the bumper you will have to take that off with some needle nose pliers...then on the head light you will see some metal things that could open if you pop it up..with the same pliers pop up the metal on both sides and the head light will come off...when installing back you will have to push it back down
