2007 Grand Prix - Auto headlights do not always come on

Sometimes when I start the car and its dark, the only headlight that work are the brights, when I dim them, I have no lights. This only happens occasionaly, but I just got the car two weeks ago! I took it to the dealer, but of course they can't find anything wrong with the lighting system.

Auto headlights/dashlights randomly not working.

If you can, connect the wires going to the sensor together when it's dark and the lights should come on. If they do, the sensor is bad.

2007 pontiac grand prix headlights are not working correctly. High beams work but not low beam. nothing works on automatic. Low beam bulbs have been replaced. Lights worked for one day, then back to not...

I drive a 07 Grand Prix and the low beams randomly went out. Could not get them to come back on, but all of the other lights worked (inside, parking, and high beams). found a forum online that recommended replacing the fuse/thing at location #35 in the fuse box under the hood. It worked immediately!! Got the part at Advanced Auto parts for $35 dollars.

I have a 2007 Scion Tc and I have 2 problems.... When my car headlights are on, the light on the clock on the dash is off and when the headlights are off, the light on the clock is off so it's...

I can help with the clock light.

Normally, with the headlights off, the clock light (numbers) should be very bright so they can be seen during the day. The electronics designers thought you would only turn the headlights on at night so they made the clock numbers only bright enough to be seen in the dark (that is, they are dim in day light).

I like to drive with my headlights on (day or night) for safety. Therefore, I click my lights off occasionally, to see the clock (barely visible in daylight).

Part 2
I always find trouble shooting automotive electric a pain in the neck so I go to a shop that specializes in "auto electric". They will generally track down something this simple for about $25. It You can check if the spring fell out of your lighter (+ contact). Other than that, leave it to the pros - it is so much less of a headache.

2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT multifunction switch problem?

I had the exact same problem, I changed the "ignition switch" because the contacts inside were burned, this is why you see all those troubles coming in and out at different moments. It costed me 150$ to do it myself, buy the switch on an online reseller, must cheaper than the dealer! Now everything is back to normal on my Grand Prix GT 99 exept that my headlights don't light up automatically when starting the car... I have to check my fuse/relay and switch to make sure everything is ok on that side.

Good luck.
