On 2007 Chrysler Pacifica - When the car is started, the alarm sounds and the service tire system soon light flashes 8 or 9 times and then remains on. Do I have worn out batteries in the sensors or ??? And...

Start with making sure the tires have correct air pressure in each tire, then go from there. The alarm is a warning there is an issue with your tires. Low air can set it off or an imbalance. If the treads are worn due to alot of mileage, check those. Tire blowouts are no fun and can cause a serious accident or damage to your vehicle like bent rims. Tires are sometimes 'weighted' when rotated. There may be uneven wear if they do not get rotated per tire manufacturer's recommendation.

The engine of my 2007 rav4 shuts down whilst driving once in a while. When it restarts, the check engine light and the VSC comes on. Also, the tire pressure light has been on for a while and I am unable...

OK try this: make sure the fuel filler cap is on tight. Toyota (and Lexus) checks the EVAP system for leaks and if it finds a fault it lights the CEL and VSC. If the fuel cap is loose or the rubber seal on it is cracked then this will be seen as EVAP leak. To clear the CEL etc disconnect the battery negative terminal for five minutes (you may have to enter the radio security code after this so have it available when you reconnect the battery).

Toyota rav4 2007 tire pressure i check it and it seem ok is there a reset for that

Don't forget to check the full size spare tire pressure as well. I was pulling out my hair over this on my 06 rav, and then I suddenly remembered the spare. . .The colder weather had decreased the pressure in that tire to pop the alarm.

How do you reset the tire pressure light on a 2007 Rav4?

Check the pressure in all five tires-spare included. You will have to remove the spare cover, which takes some time if you have a soft cover. Once all the tires are at the same pressure, the light should go out. I did it with the car parked, so it seems driving it for reset is not required. If the pressure is off between the tires after adding air, the light may stay on. They must all be close or the same for the light to go out. Use a real tire gage rather than the one at the gas station air nozzle.

Good luck.

2008 RAV4 has one tire damaged (nail in sidewall). The RAV4 has 10,400 miles on it. Do I have to replace all four tires

Absolutely not!!!! just purchase a tire of the same size, and preferably same type and manufacture of the others. if the rest are steel belts...make sure this one is too,and remember to have it balanced before you leave the shop.

Red tire pressure message is on

Assuming the tire pressure is OK, if you've not had the tire pressure sending units inside the tires removed since the car was new, chances are that their batteries have died.

The life of the sending unit batteries is about five to six years, I was told.

To replace the batteries or senders the tire must come off the rim. Generally the entire sender assembly gets replaced when tires are replaced.

2004 CL500 has bad batteries in two out of four senders at this time. So bear with the error message until such time as the tires get changed, which will be in quite a while, since the mileage on the car is only about 26,000 and the tires show little wear.

To reset:
1. Try select instrument cluster menu to the mileage page.
2. Use the up down buttons next to the menu buttons to toggle toward reset tire pressure monitor. Select to confirm the reset.

Good luck (remember comment and rated this post)

My rav4 takes bumps hard, can changing tires help with this?

changing tires will help some but if your tread isnt worn enough to justify the cost wouldnt be worth it. depending on your mileage it may be time for shocks/struts. 50,000 is a good time to start checking into shocks.

you can test shocks by doing the following:

the easiest test i know is to push down on front (or rear) of the car, keep pushing until you get it bouncing then let go. if the car has good shocks it will bounce only once after you let go. look under the car at the shocks, if there is oil leaking from the shocks, they are bad.
