Question about 1996 Pontiac Sunfire
Ok, this problem has been driving me crazy for two months. i bought a 2.2 standerd sunfire coupe last fall and shes been good for her age. her timeing chain was going and other then a coolent mix problem shes in great shape. BUT after i got the timeing chain replaced she been giving me trouble on cold starts... it didnt happen befor the chain was repalce so what ever it was happened since then. she just refueses to fire some times. only when its cold. iv put in thinner oil, and changed the plugs. she just refuesed to start and somtimes she floods so bad the base pan gets gas in it. but the weird thing is it could be -50 c and she'll start and the next day she wont in -30... but when its mild out shes fine.... idk whats going on cause she runs fine once she starts.... any help would be great....
You did not say if your service engine light comes on or not, If that don't come on its hard to pinpoint the problem as it sounds electrical. And whatever i tell you would only be a guess. need more info to help.
