Question about 1996 Chevrolet Tahoe
96 Tahoe, fan for the heater aircon used to have to be tapped with a stick or something solid like a kick with a shoe to get it started as it appeared to be stuck, then it worked fine until the next time you needed to use it after switching it off. Now it does not have to be tapped or kicked, but only works in high position. In other words the fan will not run in any of the other three positions and does not stick any more.
This sound like the windings in the motor are bad. If you are getting power to the motor in all speeds, motor is probably bad. There is a relay that is located behind the glove box. The glove box usually just snaps out by gently flexing in the sides. The relay is mounted on a bracket. Small, black, and square. Don't over look a bad switch either.
