Question about 1999 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

Cracked front bumper on 1999 Chrysler town and country.

Cracked the from bumper in a recent Ice storm. I was wondering is the bumper easily removable so that I can repair it? If it's hooked up to air bag sensors etc, then I'd probably not want to mess with it. Any help is appreciated. AJ

The actual bumper is underneath a large section of foam, beneath the bumper cover. Remove bumper cover, lift off foam and all should become clear.

I am not sure on this one but I think the left front headlight has to be removed. Also I think these are riveted on and you will have to drill the rivets and gently use a chisel to get them off.

Cracked front bumper on 1999 Chrysler town and country.

I Can not Locate Literature on the Subject but, I DO KNOW that the TRUE BUMPER is Located UNDER the COSMETIC COVER You SEE And they are Fairly EASY to Remove Mostly 10mm Bolts and PLASTIC Hold down Buttons, IT Is NOT DIRECTLY COnnected to AIR BAG There is A Number of INERCIA Type Sensor all around the Vehicle that Activates the AIRBAG. If this has Helped you and you feel I Deserve it PLEASE RATE Me, I Truly hope I have shed some light on your Project, Thank You

Front blwer stopped functioning after an ice storm

The same thing happened to me. I replaced the blower resistor, and everything is back to normal. This is something that is easy to replace it is located behind the glovebox. There is two elec. connections and two screws to remove. Put in the new one and your done. You do have to purchace the part at the dealer though. I think I payed about $25.
Hope this helps
